ARTEMIS INSIDE (HTC P3300)

This is not the guide on how to disassemble Artemis phone, but may help for people who wish to see what is inside. Equipment and tools you will need :

1. Turn off the device. Disconnect charges, USB cables. It would be a good idea to cover screen of device to avoid scratches. It should be fine if you use protection film on your device.

2. Pull out the stylus.

3. Remove the battery and the micro SD card from your device.

Do not short battery pins, do not disassemble it. J

4. Open the antenna cover with plastic stick, ~1 mm thick. Insert the stick between the body and antenna cover and turn it slightly. Be careful, don’t press or push too hard to avoid damage of fastening elements.

This part of antenna cover opens quite easy.

To completely remove the antenna cover, you can use wooden stick about 1.0mm - 1.5mm thick. You can use screwdriver, but carefully, not to leave scratches on the body of the device. Don’t pull antenna cover in vertical direction (see on the picture), because it will destroy clamping elements.

To understand how clamping of the cover is organized, see picture below, this will help to avoid damage of these materials.

There are different antennas: for GSM, Wi-Fi, GPS.

5. Remove 4 screws to start disassembling the housing cover. You can see 2 of them on the picture below, 2 others on the rear side (not visible on this picture).

6. Start to disassemble the housing cover. You will need plastic stick for this. Insert the stick in a gap between front and rear cover of the device. Don’t push it too deep. Move the stick along the gap. Cover will unlock, but not completely.

This is little difficult phase. There are 2 catches holding the cover. Please see picture below.

7. Remove 4 screws holding motherboard.

8. Disconnect switch board and main board. Unlock the connector with small plastic stick and pull out the cable. Careful not to break the connector.

9. Disconnect LCD screen. Unlock the connector with small plastic stick and pull out the cable. Careful not to break the connector.
