The outcome document of the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, entitled “The future we want” set out a mandate to establish an open working group to develop a set of sustainable development goals that are coherent with and integrated into the United Nations development agenda beyond 2015.
Global Sustainable Development Report
The Global Sustainable Development Report (GSDR) is a United Nations publication aiming to strengthen the science-policy interface at the High Level Political Forum (HLPF) on Sustainable Development, which replaced the Commission on Sustainable Development after Rio+20 as the main United Nations platform providing political leadership and guidance on sustainable development issues at the international level.
Global Sustainable Development Report
2015 edition
The 2015 Global Sustainable Development Report is expected to be launched in June 2015 and contribute to the 2015 session of the High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development.
The report will be global in coverage while taking into account the
perspectives of the five UN regions. Extensive inputs will be sought from the UN system, government
officials and stakeholders at all levels, including representatives of academies of sciences, of key international assessments, and relevant UN expert groups.

development, and sustainable consumption and production • Chapter 6: Countries in special situations • Chapter 7: Science issues and solutions for the attention of
decision-makers • Chapter 8: Conclusions and way forward
