Art movements often were a reaction to the previous one. They had a logic.

Some artists epitomized a movement: Picasso and Cubism; Dali and Surrealism.

They were reflections of the times. Art is one more way of understanding history.

Even though you may not ‘get’ some of the art, they had an inherent philosophy and integrity.

Artists think differently from you and I.
