Programmed Instruction=it is a system of teaching and learning within which pre-established subject matter is broken down into small steps carefully organized into sequence in which it can be learned readily by the students (Bigge, 1982).

Programmed Instruction=Programmed instruction is an instructional method in which the material to be learned is presented to the student in small task of information. In order to progress through the material, the student needs to demonstrate understanding of the previous information, thereby receiving instant reinforcement for correct responses.

Mastery Learning Technique=is based on the philosophy that “all children can become achievers if taught at a level of their own proficiency, and encouraged to progress at a rate of their ability to master clearly defined units of learning”.

=the "skills" are introduced in a sequential and systematic fashion and reinforced in the learning environment until the student demonstrates mastery in that area.
