Dear KS3 students, parents/carers,
This is the KS3 home learning booklet. It contains tasks that will encourage students to foster independent learning; to make connections between the curriculum and the wider world and to increase their cultural capital and approach the concept of home learning with more enthusiasm. Subject teachers may set additional home learning tasks when it’s appropriate to the contents of their Scheme of Learning (SoL).
This booklet should be used on a regular basis when students have not been set specific home learning tasks. Students should complete a range of tasks across the different subjects and skills.
Students will be encouraged to complete tasks in this booklet by their teachers and tutors. The work completed will be showcased at the end of each half term and students will receive “Going Beyond” Canons Keys for Success points for the completion of each task.
