11W presented their assembly on The Day of The dead to KS3 during international Education week

Y7 & 8 created work for Chinese New Year. The work was sent to our partner school in China

and the lanterns were on display in the LRC

Y8 Journey project. Students create abstract collages based on a real or fantasy journey.

Artists from around the world! Y8 researched artist from around the world and they

made flag bunting for KFE’s classroom displays

International Education Week. All KS3 students looked at the Russian Artist

Kandinsky who lived in France. The work created was put on display down the MFL

corridor…its nearly completed!

Black History Month 2013. All KS3 students learnt about the black African American artist Charles Searles and created work in his

style. Students listened to African drumming music, which was the influence in Searles work. The

work will be put on display in the History/ Music corridor.

Art Club Mural based on the National Poetry Day theme of ‘Water’. Students studied the River Ganges, Indian patterns and poems on water. It will be hung in the English corridor

Whole School Display of Freedom Butterflies. Students will write other languages on them all relating to freedom

We applied and were selected to be part of this programme. RHS is now linked with a school in Taiwan.

Art club will work with an artist and create work based on the River Thames which will go on display on the South Bank this summer! This is a two year project. The aim is to get as many departments involved as possible.

Ivy in Y7 is going to start teaching art club members Mandarin.

Y8 Sculpture project. Students discussed and wrote key words in Spanish lessons about

Henry Moore’s work. Y8 students then taught KFE the words during their Art lessons.

Y7 Fernand Leger Project Y7 will be learning about the French artist, Ferdernad Leger. In MFL students will learn key words

to discuss this artwork and present this to KFE in Art.
