First Semester :

• The Elements and Principals of Art

• A variety of sketching and drawing techniques

• Creating value with different drawing mediums.

• Perspective

• Portraits

Second Semester :

•Color Theory and Painting

•Watercolor techniques

•3D - such as clay, plaster, or wire.

•Life drawing

•Printmaking

• Meetings are twice a month with service opportunities throughout the year.

VASE Visual Art Scholastic Event

• UIL competition. Meet with the judge and get feedback. Students may advance to State and Letter jackets may be awarded.

• You are encouraged to participate in Art Competitions through out the year. They are optional but many offer cash prizes, UIL Letter Jacket opportunity, and scholarships.
