¨ART EXHIBITION TO COMMEMORATE BAPU@150¨

To commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Embassy of India in partnership with the Municipal Visual Arts School organized an Art Exhibition on the theme Mahatma Gandhi. With the guidance of the art teachers of the Municipal Visual Arts School, the artist children worked on two themes. One, inspired by the Khadhi movement of Mahatma Gandhi 20 children participated in textile paintings. All 20 textile paintings were woven to produce one large painting portraying ¨India’s Unity in Diversity¨. Two, another 20 children participated on the theme of ‘Door to Gandhian Philosophy’. The art focused on the famous quotations of Mahatma Gandhi. In an event organized at the Embassy of India on 21st September 2019, all the children who participated in the art competition and their art teachers were felicitated. The arts are on display for public at the Embassy of India. el tema ̈ Mahatma Gandhi¨. Con la guía de las maestras de la Escuela, los niños artistas trabajaron en dos temas centrales: Uno, inspirados por el movimiento Khadhi de Mahatma Gandhi, 20 niños participaron realizando pintura sobre tela. Dichas piezas de tela se integraron cociéndolas en una sola pieza mayor denotando ¨Unidad en la Diversidad de la India¨. Dos, otro grupo de 20 niños participaron con el tema ¨Puertas hacia Filosofía Gandhiana¨. Cada pieza de arte se enfocó en proverbios famosos de Mahatma Gandhi. En un evento organizado en la Sede del Embajada el 21 de septiembre, todos los niños participantes y sus maestras recibieron un reconocimiento.
