What You’ll NeedMaterials:

Card stock: 110lb is best.Glue (white glue, glue stick, and rubber cement or spray adhesive). Just about every hob-byist has a glue preference bordering on religious zealotry. Mine is white glue for every-thing except laminating large surfaces, which calls for a dry glue stick. I do use glue sticks when I’m in a hurry. “You puts your money down, and you takes your chances.”Liquid refreshment.

Tools:Scissors.NOTE: most of the cuts can be made with scissors. Scissors are faster and somewhat safer than hobby knives, as old scars on my hands testify. Most professionals prescribe hobby knives, but if you are a parent, you have to clean the blood and mend the accidental cuts. It’s a personal choice.Hobby knife. Indispensable for precise cutting and some compound curves.Scriber for creasing fold lines. A dry fine point pen works quite well for this purpose.Straight edge (preferably a metal ruler). Flip it over so the cork pad is topside.Tweezers for folding small parts.Inexpensive paint brushes to apply the white glue and a margarine tub of water to clean your brushes. (The lid serves as a palette for the glue)Permanent marker for edges and corners. Black will generally suffice, but you should invest in a set of multiple colors.

ARSENAL: GUN TOWERThe ARSENAL series of models is intended to be another Finger and Toe inexpensive way to expand your table top gaming experience. GUN TOWER adds a defensive tower with swappable weapons. Swappable weapons included are a gatling gun and rail gun. A bombard and a rocket launcher are on the turret weapon plugs. In addition, GUN TOWER is textured to match the TAN-GO PRIME series of models. When you get to the last page, you’ll notice I included degree wall segments textured to match Tango Prime. They’re a bonus for all your support. Thanks.

The GUN TOWER comes in three parts: the bottom, upper cone, and turret. The top of the bot-tom (how’s that for weird syntax?) is textured and has a white cut-out so you can use it as a base for any ARSENAL weapon. The upper cone has an optional untextured base so that you can use it as a standalone.

SMOOSH ASSURANCE: cardstock models will get smooshed. It’s inevitable. One way to prepare yourself for repairs is to cut a hole in the tower and upper cone bases, leaving about a half inch wide margin. That way you can insert a finger and easily pop the smooshed walls back.

Both the tower and turret are armored structures by themselves. Give them the same armor value as a bunker.

The stub laser is a medium anti-air/vehicle weapons system. However, it is not intended to defend against fast-moving, agile fighter-type aircraft. Rather, it would be used against attacking ground-based vehicles and slower moving transport-type aircraft. Nevertheless, the laser could attack drop pods and drop ships as they approach their landing points since their trajectories would be easily calculated. Each laser pulse should have a base accuracy of 7% (that factors in defensive mea-sures from the craft. Any hit would destroy a droppod/drop ship—a 100% effect, regardless of the nature of the craft. Against vehicles, use your game system’s stats for the closest equivalent.

The multi-gun is the equivalent of a rapid fire medium caliber gatling gun. Allow multiple shots per firing AT THE SAME TARGET (if armor) or within a single ” circle (if anti-personnel). The gun can fire either armor-piercing or anti-personal rounds, BUT YOU MUST DECIDE WHICH ARE LOADED BEFORE THE GAME BEGINS. (This is because the gun is loaded using canis-ters.). You may switch weapons loads between AP and HE rounds, but it takes two full turns (one to unload the old canister and one to load the new).

The bombard and rocket launcher are the sleeves for the rail gun and multi-gun. The bombard is a high trajectory, high explosive weapon. It’s a large diameter, so use a large explosive template. You could treat it as launching shells with cluster munitions. Use SIX medium templates which must overlap in a roughly circular pattern. They can be all HE or all AP (in the latter case, they are striking the vehicle from its weakest armor angle.) Cluster munitions should double the cost of the weapon if you use a point system. That is to prevent players from taking advantage of the enormously larger blast area.

The rocket launcher can be ADAT (Air defense/anti-armor) or a long range MLRS-type weapon. If the latter, it will have no tactical influence on a skirmish battlefield; rather, it represents an objec-tive that must be eliminated. Either way, the missiles should be one hit, one kill.

The rail gun is an anti-armor weapon that shoots a hyper-velocity, discarding sabot, armor piercing round that should be able to eliminate most armor in a single shot. Range on the rail gun would be from line of sight on the skirmish battlefield to about fifty kilometers, making this a very powerful weapon.

The Remote Weapons System mounts a 0mm automatic grenade launcher and a medium machine gun. It has a 0 degree field of fire.

Your imagination is the only limit to the worlds and installations you can explore . . . and blow up!

ASSEMBLING THE TOWERThe tower consists of two parts: the lower body and the upper cone, each of which can be used as standalone parts or glued together as the complete tower. These instructions assume you are build-ing the complete tower.

Score, cut and fold the parts along the dashed lines. Glue the black dot tab of the tower base to its opposite edge.

Fold the bottom tabs over and glue the bottom.Fold the top tabs over and glue the top.Glue the tower upper cone black dot tab to the opposite edge.If you want a rotating turret using the standard ARSENAL pintle system, cut out the white

circle.Fold the upper cone top over and glue to the tabs.Glue the upper cone to the tower base.(NOTE: the upper cone base is used ONLY when building the upper cone as a standalone

weapons mount, otherwise, trim it away leaving the tab)

Assembling the upper cone and tower

ASSEMBLING THE TURRETThe turret has two components: the turret proper and the swappable weapon. GUN TOWER comes with two swappable weapons, a gatling gun and a rail gun, both of which assemble the same way. The turret itself has four parts: main turret body, the turret base, the optional mantlet, and the weapons plug, which is textured as a laser weapon. In addition there is a pintle if you want a rotating turret. Although these instructions use the mantlet, you can glue the plug directly to the turret as shown below.

Score, cut and fold the pieces along the dashed lines.Glue the turret black dot tab to its opposite edge.Fold the upper and lower sloping sides inward and glue together.Fold the turret top over and glue to the tabs.Glue the turret bottom in place.Fold the mantlet sides over and glue to the top and bottom.Glue the mantlet to the white glue space on the turret.Glue the plug sides to the tabs.Glue the plug to the white space on the mantlet.Roll the pintle into a cylinder.Glue the pintle’s black dot tab to the opposite side.Glue the pintle end to its tab.Glue the pintle to the bottom of the turret.Insert the pintle into the hole you cut in the top of the tower upper cone.NOTE: ANY ARSENAL weapon will fit the tower.

ASSEMBLING THE SWAPPABLE WEAPONSAll the weapons assemble the same way: a roughly tube-shaped weapon is glued to a sleeve that fits over the plug on the turret.

Score, cut, and fold the pieces.Glue the sleeve black dot tab to its opposite edge.Fold the sleeve end over and glue to the flaps.Glue the weapon black dot tab to its opposite edge.Glue the weapon to the end of the sleeve.Slide the sleeve over the turret plug.Notice the weapons sleeves have a row of gray tabs along the edge. These are not used if

you are going to be using the weapons as swappable features—just trim them off. If you want to glue the weapon to a mount, however, you will need those tabs.

NOTE: the weapons sleeves for the rail gun and multi-gun can be used as weapons by themselves. The black circled sleeve is a bombard, a short range, high angle, high explosive weapon. The green-gray circled sleeve is the rocket launcher.

THE OPTIONSThese optional parts can easily be added to your turret.

The Remote Weapons Station (RWS)After scoring, cutting, and folding, the remote weapons station (RWS) is simply folded over, and the mounting tabs are then folded outward. Glue the RWS sides together, then glue the circular mounting tabs to the turret top.

The Radar MastThe radar mast is somewhat more complex.

Score, cut, and fold the pieces.Fold the radar antenna over and glue.Fold the antenna sides to produce a three-sided antenna.Fold the antenna mast as shown and glue the sides to the tabs.Glue the tabs on the bottom part of the mast to the rear of the turret.Glue the antenna to the upper part of the mast, centering. The moire pattern (weird squares)

should face forward.
