BEFORE COMING TO CAMPUS

ARRIVING ON CAMPUS

Arriving by Personal VehicleReview the campus map to locate the Access Point. Stay in your vehicle with your face covering on when proceeding to the Access Point.

Arriving by BusOn campus bus stops have been moved to pick up and drop off near the Access stations. Riders will walk through Access Point after being dropped off.

ARRIVING ON CAMPUS (continued from page 1)

Arriving by Redi-WheelsRediWheels will drive through the access and health screening stations. After clearing the Access Point, RediWheels will disembark passengers regular drop-off points.

Arriving by Uber/Lyft/Being Dropped OffStudents can be dropped off at the bus stop near the Access Point. Riders will walk through Access Point after being dropped off.

Arriving by FootWalkers should enter the campus through the Access Point.

ENTERING CAMPUS

Access PointsRefer to the maps on this website. Other entrances to campus have been blocked off during this time. Face Coverings must be worn at all times on campus and will be confirmed by Public Safety at the Access Points.

Parking on Campus

1. Park in the designated lot on the attached map. No permit is needed. Avoidother cars and people in the parking lot.

2. Face coverings must be worn once departing a vehicle.

ENTERING THE BUILDING

1. Follow the path indicated on the attached map and enter the building in whichyour course will take place. Entry into other buildings is not permitted.

2. Practice 6 feet of social distancing when entering the building, utilizingstairwells and riding elevators.

3. Avoid touching door handles and other high touch surfaces, when possible. Ifyou have to touch a surface, wash your hands for at least 20 seconds utilizing soapand water or utilize hand sanitizer as soon as possible.

4. Face coverings must be worn at all times while on campus.

ARRIVING AT THE CLASSROOM

1. Students should be instructed to wait outside of the classroom until the facultymember can open the door and allow students to enter.

2. Students should be instructed to practice Social Distancing in hallways whenwaiting for classroom entrance.

3. The classroom may need to be reconfigured to allow for Social Distancing.

4. Sanitizing wipes will be provided at the entry of the classroom for students andfaculty members to sanitize personal workspaces. Allow the surface to dry beforeplacing personal items on the workspace. Wipes should be disposed of in trashreceptacles immediately after use.

5. Face coverings must be worn at all times.

6. Attendance should be recorded electronically in case contact tracing is neededin the future.

a. If the San Mateo County Health department receives information thata positive COVID-19 case has been reported by a member of your class,the SMCCCD Health Branch Director will contact you to produce yourelectronic attendance sheet to assist in the contact tracing.

DURING THE CLASS

1. Practice at least 6 feet of social distancing with others at all times.

2. Avoid crossover of individuals for classes where students have been split intoinstruction subgroups (i.e. allowing a student from one subgroup to crossoverto another subgroup to make up a lab session). This will minimize potential foradditional exposures.

3. If a distance closer than 6 feet of Social Distancing is required as part of thecourse curriculum, i.e. some courses in the Health Professions, the appropriatePersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) should be worn in accordance withprofessional standards.

4. Face coverings must be worn at all times.

5. If workspaces and equipment are used as part of the course instruction, itshould we wiped down with sanitization wipes before and after use by the student/faculty member who will utilize the workspace.

6. Students not following the 6 feet of Social Distancing, Facial Covering orSanitization protocols should be asked to comply with these requirements. Ifstudents do not comply, they should be asked to leave the class.

AFTER THE CLASS

1. Students and faculty should sanitize their workstations utilizing the providedsanitization wipes prior to leaving the classroom space.

2. Specialized equipment should be wiped down by designated classroommembers utilizing the provided sanitization wipes.

3. 3) Custodial staff will sanitize the commonly used space within the classroom,but will not sanitize technology or course specific equipment.

MOVEMENT OUTSIDE OF THE DESIGNATED CLASSROOM When possible, limit movement to other spaces while on campus.

Restroom Use

1. The closest restroom to your classroom is designated for use while on campus. Do not utilize other restroom facilities on other floors or in other buildings.

2. Practice social distancing while entering and exiting the restroom facilities and do not congregate in bathroom spaces.

3. Face coverings must be worn at all times.

Food Preparation & Breaks

1. Plan on bringing your own food/snacks to campus as food services will not beavailable.

2. Microwaves and refrigerators will not be available for food preparation.

3. When eating, practice social distancing of at least 6 feet and stay in designatedareas, i.e. avoid entering other spaces on campus.

4. When possible, return to your vehicle to eat.

5. Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds before and after consuming food.

6. The Face Covering should only be removed during food consumption andreplaced once consumption has concluded.

Smoking

1. Students, faculty, and staff should smoke in or around their personal vehicle,or at designated smoking areas, while maintaining social distancing. Individualsshould NOT gather at designated smoking areas.

ILLNESS ON CAMPUS

If you are Ill on Campus

1. Inform your Dean immediately that you are ill and the locations you have visitedsince being on campus.

2. If you are able to leave campus safely on your own, do so immediately. Avoidentering other areas of the campus and contact your medical professional forfurther evaluation.

3. If you are unable to leave campus safely on your own, remain in the currentlocation and contact Public Safety at (650) 738-7000. They will facilitateprocedures for isolation and departure off campus. If immediate medical care ortransportation to a medical facility is needed, it will be facilitated by Public Safety.

4. As soon as possible after the illness has surfaced, contact Public Safety toalert them of the illness. The classroom and additional locations visited by the illindividual will be blocked off for custodial sanitization.

If Someone Else is Ill on Campus

1. You may cancel session for the day or instruct the class to move to an alternativeapproved location to resume instruction. Identify alternate space with your Deanprior to the first day of class.

2. Encourage students to not congregate around the ill person and practice SocialDistancing

3. If symptomatic individual is unable to leave campus safely on their own, contactPublic Safety at (650) 738-7000. They will facilitate procedures for isolation anddeparture off campus. If immediate medical care or transportation to a medicalfacility is needed, it will be facilitated by Public Safety.

4. Contact Public Safety at (650) 738-7000 and they will contact the custodial staffto sanitize the space, as appropriate. I.e. If someone is ill with a chronic, migraineheadache, vs. having a sudden fever and cough would require different custodialresponses.

5. Inform your Dean of illness and the locations the symptomatic individual hasvisited while on campus.

LEAVING CAMPUS

1. Students should leave campus within 15 minutes of the conclusion of thecourse; faculty members and instructional support should follow after closingprocedures are completed.

2. Avoid congregating after class or entering areas not approved as you leavecampus.

3. Refer to the attached map for exit routes from the building and campus.

4. If you or student experiences symptoms indicated on the Health SymptomsChecklist, do not return to campus.

5. If you experience symptoms indicated on the Health Symptoms Checklist, donot return to campus until you can pass the health screening.
