In 2001 the project started the nonprofit organization New Open World Corporation, which was designed to identify the seven wonders of the modern world. At the same

time it was decided to define separate architectural and natural wonders

In 2005, the channel "BB-C" started to air a series of documentaries under the title "80 Wonders of the World" (English Around the World in 80 Treasures). Among the selected works of art and architecture were, including the Nazca Lines in Peru, Moai stone statues on Easter Island, the Statue of Liberty in the U.S., the world's largest Buddhist complex of Borobudur in Indonesia, the imperial Forbidden City and the Terracotta Army in China, Meenakshi Temple in India, the Iranian Persepolis, Libya Leptis Magna, the Greek Parthenon,

the Solovki Islands in Russia and other wonders.
