Copiesy are always available at theAerie.

Representing Mt. Clemens 1269 at the 2020 International Convention I had a personal mission. That was to gain support to have our Aerie Secretary, Rick Jantz enshrined into the Grand Aerie “Hall of Fame”. In Renoimmediately I went into action with a face to face with Dave Smith Grand Aerie President elect. Dave often a visitor to mighty Michigan assured me in the very least a small plaque of recognition, that I told him was not good enough. My Eagle brothers Grand Aerie and Michigan State officers took the necessary steps to make my mission a reality. Thank you brothers! With the power of prayer our Rick Jantz is still with us and on the road to recovery. k

COVID-19 A GAME CHANGER

I never thought a pandemic was possible in our advanced modern world. Nonetheless after a great start to 2020 this year has been a game changer for all. The safety that must be upheld was compromised in a Chinese research labtunleashing a virus impacting the entire world. Overnight life was turned into a lockout. At 1269 we had a brisk carryout business Plods’ meatloaf dinner March 16th and our March 17th. St. Patrick’s Day corned beef dinner were both successful. Thanks to our members for purchasing the carryout’s offered selling out both dinners. Personally, my March 20th 70th. Birthday pizza party at the Aerie had to be canceled along with other events on our calendar. Starting than and continuing today individual responsibility is paramount in stopping the spread of this virus. On June 1st. our governor allowed us to a limited reopening. In one week our social room was able to reopen June 8th at Mt. Clemens Eagles we adhere to the protocol of the state to ensure the safety of our members. Hopefully soon a vaccine will be available. Stay safe, be responsible and our Eagledom will once again be part of your life. ww

Dear Members,It is possible to cook for one’s own need but when that cooking can be shared, it takes on so much more purpose. There is really no point in going through the hassle of cooking unless you’re doing it for somebody. Even withsocial distancing measures in place there is a bond among us all, we truly are in it “ALL TOGETHER’. The dedication and hard work given in the past was amazing so please continue to support our dinners at our Aerie. We still need you, and the charities still need your generosity.
