Our Signature Touch Aromatherapy Program incorporates specic essential oils and other natural herbs to engage Residents in distinctive aromatherapy activities, creating the opportunity for further connection. is program promotes a peaceful environment through sensory stimulation that matches each Resident’s needs and tolerances. Essential Oils are aromatic liquids distilled from owers, trees, roots, bushes, and the seeds of plants, and are rich in antioxidants, nutrients and compounds benecial to sustaining health and vitality.

Lavender: Lavender is thought to be calming and able to balance strong emotions. It has also been used to help with depression, anger and irritability, and may help in some cases of insomnia. Our Residents tend to enjoy hand massages with lavender in the evenings to promote relaxation before bed.

Peppermint: Peppermint is an energizer and can be used to stimulate the mind and calm nerves at the same time. Fresh, nostalgic, and instantly recognizable, the scent is known to invigorate the mind and senses, while inspiring a sense of peace. We diuse peppermint in the mornings to energize and stimulate the senses.

As the Coronavirus spreads through the country, we at Spring Hills want to assure you that the safety of everyone we care for from residents to our associates and families is our utmost priority. In these uncertain times and ever changing healthcare environment we are seeing a high demand for assisted living and memory care services. We understand that families are anxious about providing care for their loved one at home and want to assure you that a senior community can be the safest place to live.

Based on the reports and recommendations of the CDC our established multidisciplinary team has developed and implemented action plans to ensure resident and associate safety.

• We are prohibiting all visitors and non-essential services from entering our communities.

• All associates and essential visitors are entering through one main entrance and are required to be screened upon arrival, additionally their temperature is recorded and all must wash their hands before continuing further into the community.

• Our teams are assessing resident symptoms upon and after admission and are implementing appropriate infection prevention practices.

• We are supplying additional hand sanitizers and protective personal equipment throughout the community.

• We are continually providing training sessions on infection prevention to all staff.• Our teams have daily calls to be updated and proactive on all news and recommendations.

In these uncertain times it’s important to give our residents and families sense of normalcy and stability. We have adjusted our dining schedule to accommodate new guidelines and recommendations of the CDC. Our associates work extra hard to give our residents extra assurance and to make them as comfortable as possible.

To ensure another level of infection prevention, group activities have been cancelled. Instead, our recreation departments are focusing on virtual engagement through a variety of mediums, interactive discussion, and purposeful projects that allow our residents to be active and engaged. To provide a sense of community there are various activities that allow our residents to give back and connect to the local community in new and exciting ways.

At Spring Hills we know that communication with families is vital. We focus on positive proactive outreach to families through various methods, including SMILE messaging. All communities are having daily family conference calls to keep everyone up to date with new developments to allow families to get extra support, reassurance and have all of their questions answered.

Our associates are helping residents and patients connect with their families virtually through a plethora of mediums (such as Skype, FaceTime, Messenger.) because we understand how important maintaining that connection is for the emotional and social well -being of our residents and their families.

We hope that all of our efforts provide you with a peace of mind and appreciate the opportunity to serve you and your loved ones. Our teams will always be dedicated to providing the highest level of services in the communities we serve.

Always,Alex MarkowitsPresident/CEO Spring Hills, LLC

Healthy Habits: Positive Affirmations“What you think, you become. What you feel, you attract. What you imagine, you create.” – Buddha

How do affirmations work? A consistent affirmation practice of even a minute or two per day can make you feel stronger, more confident, happier,

better balanced - all while reducing anxiety and fearfulness. Start a new healthy habit by incorporating the below affirmations into your daily routine. Repeat the affirmation out load for at least one minute. While doing so, align your thinking with its message. Focus on summoning that energy into your

life. See it and believe it!

“All I need is within me now.”“I am learning to trust the journey.”

“If I am committed, there is always a way.”“Today is a gift and I am blessed to be here.”

“I celebrate each goal I accomplish with joy and gratitude.”“I am able to conquer all the challenges I am confronted with.”

“I stay focused on my vision and pursue my daily work with passion.”“My mind is free of resistance and open to exciting new possibilities.”

“I can never fail, for everything that happens contributes to me being better.”“The smallest action can make a difference. I can change the world just by

being here.”
