Issues and Topics of Particular Importance for which Action and Efforts of State Association Were Directed during theY ear

•!• State Issues: Transportation revenue and equitable distribution to counties. •!• National Issues: Expedient and cost efficient delivery of federally funded local

government projects.

Ideas/Concerns to Share with Other NACE Members AACE has experienced exceptional drop in its 2019-20 revenues extending to membership dues and conference/ event sponsorship. AACE did not host a Western Region Meeting in 2019 on premise of its precarious cash position. The Association is targeting concise, 1-day workshops focused on industry relevant professional development opportunity for high attendance across the engineering, public sector, and construction industries. The following denote issues of critical importance:

•!• AACE would benefit from no flow-fee access to NACE or other available cooperative contract for website design and hosting services.

•!• AACE would benefit from NACE or other available cooperative contract for administrative services providing the following core functions:

../ Payments processing

../ Tax and other required financial filings

../ Virtual event advertisement and registration/ sponsorship organization and execution

•!• AACE would benefit from NACE initiative to organize and promote outreach on a structured, coordinated calendar of Chapter and multi-Chapter/Regional annual meetings for better awareness and planning by prospective attendees and exhibitors.

Respectfully submitted,

Steven P. Latoski, P.E., PTOE Mohave County Public Works Director Past President, Arizona Association of County Engineers April 20, 2020
