L AVE-VAISSELLEComment sy prendre pourcharger la vaisselle?Avant de laver, prenez de bonnes habitudes, vous obtiendrez de meilleurs rsultats et augmenterez lalongvit de votre lave-vaisselle. Eliminez les dchets les plus gros, mettez tremper vos casseroles et vospoles particulirement sales. Une fois que vous avez charg votre vaisselle, contrlez que les bras dugicleur tournent bien.

Quelques examples de chargement

Tout dabord.Avant de ranger la vaisselle dansles paniers, liminez les dchets denourriture, ainsi les filtres ne seboucheront pas et le lavage nensera que plus efficace.Si les casseroles et les poles sonttrs sales, mettez-les tremper enattendant de les laver au lave-vaisselle. Pour charger votrevaisselle plus facilement, sortez lespaniersPaniers multi-systemLe panier couverts, les panierssuprieur et infrieur de ce modlede lave-vaisselle ont t conusdune faon tout fait nouvelle etmoderne. Leur structure permeten effet une grande flexibilit dechargement de la vaisselle poursatisfaire toutes vos exigences.

Que ranger dans lepanier infrieur ?Nous vous conseillons de placerdans le panier infrieur la vaisselleplus difficile laver : casseroles,couvercles, assiettes plates etcreuses, mais aussi : tasses, tasses caf et verres (les photosmontrent des exemples dechargement). Plats et grands couvercles: ran-

gez-les sur les cts du panier. Casseroles, saladiers: placez-les

toujours sens dessus dessous. Vaisselle trs creuse: mettez ces

pices en position oblique, leaupourra ainsi scouler et mieuxles laver.

Verres et tasses : rangez-lescomme illustr (voir figure).

Le panier couverts se spare endeux quand vous enlevez la poigneet les pinces qui unit ses deuxcompartiments.Quand vous avez peu de couverts laver, nutilisez que moiti panier,vous aurez plus de place pour lereste de votre vaisselle, vouspouvez dailleurs ranger lautremoiti dans le panier suprieur (voirfigures A et B).

Ce panier est quip de deux grillesamovibles : rangez les couverts un

par un dans les fentes, manchestourns vers le bas. Rangez-les demanire ce quils ne se touchentpas.

Que ranger dans lepanier suprieur ?Chargez votre vaisselle fragile etlgre dans le panier suprieur :verres, tasses th et caf,soucoupes - mais aussi assiettes -saladiers bas, poles et casserolesbasses peu sales (les photos vousmontrent quelques exemples dechargement).Placez la vaisselle lgre demanire ce quelle ne risque pasdtre dplace par les jets deau.Une ou deux tagres rabattablespeuvent tre fournies pour rangerdes tasses, grandes et petites, maisaussi des couteaux longs et pointuset des couverts de service.Aprs avoir charg votre lave-vaisselle, noubliez pas de contrlersi les bras du gicleur tournent bien,sans buter contre la vaisselle.

Le rglage du panier su-prieur?Le rglage en hauteur du paniersuprieur vous permet de chargervotre vaisselle plus facilement.

Tout dabord.Ouvrez fond le robinet de leau etappuyez sur la touche ON-OFF "A":vous entendrez retentir un brefsignal acoustique et le voyant "B"sallumera. Lappareil est prsentbranch et attend dtreprogramm.

Choisissez unprogramme.Appuyez sur la touche "P" pourslectionner le programme voulu.Chaque fois que vous appuyez surcette touche, un signal acoustiqueretentit et les voyants "E" sallu-ment les uns aprs les autres :choisissez le programme le plusappropri au type de vaisselle (je-tez un coup dil page 6 au tableaudes programmes). Une fois la porteferme, appuyez sur la touche deStart "R", un signal acoustiqueretentit et au bout de quelquessecondes le programme dmarre.

Le lave-vaisselle vousrenseigne.Le lave-vaisselle est quip dunindicateur "G" compos par 4symboles reprsentant les phasesdun programme de lavage. Unefois le programme dmarr,laffichage montre successivementles 4 phases en cours dedroulement:prlavage, lavage, rinages,schage.

Votre lave-vaisselle vous dit toutmoment o il en est.

Modification duprogramme en cours.Si vous vous tes tromp de pro-gramme, aucun problme ! Vouspouvez modifier le programme encours sil vient juste de commen-cer. Appuyez 5 secondes de suitesur la touche de RESET "R" : unsignal acoustique prolong reten-tira suivi de 3 bip rapides. Le t-moin "G" steindra et toutes lesslections seront annules. Vous

pouvez alors reslectionner le bonprogramme.

Vous avez oublidintroduire de lavaisselle ?Cela peut arriver tout le monde.Appuyez sur la touche ON-OFFpour interrompre le cycle de la-vage, introduisez la vaisselle quevous aviez oublie et appuyez denouveau sur la touche ON-OFF. Lecycle redmarrera de lendroit ovous lavez interrompu.

Fini ?La fin du cycle est signale par 2brefs signaux acoustiques et par leclignotement du voyant correspon-dant au schage. Appuyez sur la touche A pour

teindre la machine, vous coupe-rez ainsi larrive de courant.

Fermez le robinet de leau. Attendez quelques minutes avant

de sortir votre vaisselle : elle brle! Si vous attendez un peu, elleschera mieux la vapeur.

Videz dabord le panier infrieur.

Il y a une coupure decourant ? Vous avezouvert la porte de lamachine ?Le programme sinterrompt et re-part ds que le courant revient ouque vous refermez la porte. Tout at prvu !

Allons-y!Vous avez charg votre lave-vaisselle, il faut prsent choisir un programme de lavage. Uneminute suffit pour apprendre

Dmarrage du lave-vaisselle

Contrlez que leprogramme est bien

achev avant desortir votre

vaissel le!

Dcidez vous-mmequand dmarrer.Vous avez charg votre lave-vais-selle, avant de slectionner le pro-gramme appropri, vous pouvezdcider quand le faire dmarrer.Appuyez sur la touche "D" pourdiffrer le dpart du cycle de la-vage de 12, 9, 6 ou 3 heures. Vousentendrez, chaque pression, unbref signal acoustique et le voyant

2) il reste allum sans clignotersous le symbole de la phase delavage :pour signaler que le programme esten train deffectuer la phaseindique par ce symbole.

Vous ne voulez laverque dans un panier ?Pensez nutiliser quemoiti dose de produitde lavage.Si vous avez une petite vaisselle,vous pouvez laver une demi-charge,vous ferez des conomies deau,dlectricit et de produit de lavage.Avant de slectionner un cycle delavage, appuyez sur la touche "F",le voyant "H" sallumera et votrelave-vasseille ne lavera que dansle panier suprieur.

Vous voulez voir ce quevous avez slectionn ?A nimporte quel moment du d-roulement du programme, si vousappuyez sur la touche "P", il y auraallumage quelques secondes peine, dabord du voyant du pro-gramme en cours puis du voyantde la demi-charge, si cette dernirea t slectionne.

"G" correspondant au retard slec-tionn sallumera.Choisissez prsent le programmedsir. Appuyez sur la touche dedmarrage "R", aprs le signalacoustique, le compte rebourscommence.Une fois que le temps dattentesest coul, le voyant cesse declignoter et le programmedmarre.Si vous avez par exemple pro-gramm un dpart diffr de 12heures, aprs avoir choisi le pro-gramme, vous verrez dabord cli-gnoter le voyant 12 heures, puisau fur et mesure les autresvoyants jusqu ce que le dlaidattente programm touche safin. Il vous suffira ainsi dun coupdil pour savoir o en est votrecompte rebours.

Vous avez chang davis ?Si vous changez davis, vous pou-vez slectionner un dpart diffrcourt : appuyez sur la touche "D"pour le slectionner. Pas besoindeffectuer un Reset du pro-gramme.

Si vous souhaitez par contre annu-ler le dpart diffr programm etlancer immdiatement le pro-gramme, appuyez plusieurs fois desuite sur la touche "D" jusqu ceque le cycle dmarre et le voyant"G" correspondant la phase dedmarrage du programmesallume.

Lorsque vous ouvrez laporte du lave-vaissellealors que le cycle de

lavage est en cours ouvient juste de finir,faites attention aunuage de vapeur

chaude qui schappe,vous risquez de vous

brler!


L AVE-VAISSELLEProduit de lavage et de rinage

Le produit de rinage.Le produit de rinage fait brillervotre vaisselle davantage car ilamliore son schage. Le rservoir produit de rinage est situ lintrieur de la porte, il faudra leremplir quand vous voyez quil estvide travers lindicateur optiqueD.(Si votre lave-vaisselle estquip dun voyant produit derinage, remplissez le rservoirds quil sallume ou commence clignoter).

Chargement du produit derinage.Pour ouvrir le rservoir, tournez lebouchon C dans le sens inversedes aiguilles dune montre. Atten-tion ne pas faire dborder leproduit quand vous le versez. Vouspouvez rgler la quantit de produitde rinage utilis par le lave-vaisselle: laide dun tournevisagissez sur le dispositif de rglageF qui se trouve sous le couvercleC.

Le produit de lavageChargement du produit delavagePour ouvrir le couvercle A, appuyezsur la touche B. Remplissez de pro-duit de lavage les deux bacs C et Djusquau bord.Fermez le couvercle en appuyantjusquau dclic.Dans le commerce, il existe desproduits de lavage en pastilles, dansce cas mettez une pastille dans lebac "D" et fermez le couvercle.

Le couvercle ne ferme pas!Contrlez quil ny a pas de rsidusde produit de lavage sur les bordsdu bac. Cest certainement pourcela que le couvercle narrive pas fermer. Nettoyez bien et vous ver-rez quil fermera.

Nutilisez que du produit de lavage spcial lave-vaisselle. Versez le produitde lavage dans le distributeur situ lintrieur de la porte. Avant dedmarrer le cycle de lavage, bien sr!

Ne remplissez lacuve du produit delavage quau momentde dmarrer le lave-vaisselle.Si vous le mettez trop lavance, le produitrisque dabsorber delhumidit, formerdes grumeaux etperdre de sapuissance de lavage.

Dosez juste laquantit de produitde lavage ncessaire:exagrer ne rendrapas votre vaisselleplus propre maispolluera davantage.

AttentionIl existe dans le commerce des produits pour lave-vaisselle qui ont la fois une fonction lavage, une fonction selet une fonction rinage (3 en 1) Si votre eau est dure ou trs dure, nous vous conseillons dajouter quand mmedu sel dans le rservoir prvu cet effet, pour viter la formation de traces blanches sur votre vaisselle ou lasurface de la cuve.Ne remplissez votre rservoir produit de rinage que si le schage de la vaisselle nest pas satisfaisant.Suivez toujours les recommandations du fabricant reportes sur lemballage.Si vous nutilisez que des produits de ce genre, il est normal que les indicateurs lumineux sel et produit derinage se mettent clignoter, au bout dun certain nombre de lavages.

Chargement du sel.Utilisez du sel spcial lave-vais-selle.Le rservoir sel est situ sous lepanier infrieur, remplissez-lecomme suit:1. Sortez le panier infrieur, dvis-

sez et enlevez le bouchon du r-servoir

2. Vous chargez le sel pour la pre-mire fois? Dabord, remplissezle rservoir deau (vous naurezplus le faire par la suite)

3. Placez lentonnoir du lave-vais-selle dans le trou et introduisezenviron deux kilos de sel. Il estnormal que de leau dborde durservoir.

4. Revissez soigneusement le bou-chon.

Votre eau

Quand faut-il ajouter du sel?Il faut remplir le rservoir selquand le voyant "manque de sel"S clignote. Aprs avoir chargle sel pour la premire fois , il esttout fait normal que le voyant selreste allum ou clignote pendant 5cycles de suite.

Sel: dosage intelligent.Votre lave-vaisselle peut rgler saconsommation de sel selon la du-ret de votre eau. Vous pourrez ainsioptimiser et personnaliser votreconsommation de sel (ni trop ni troppeu).Pour rgler la consommation de sel,procdez comme suit:1. Dvissez le bouchon du rser-

voir sel2. Vous verrez sur la collerette du

rservoir une flche (figure): sincessaire, tournez-la dans lesens inverse des aiguilles dunemontre en allant du signe "-" ausigne "+".

Choisissez la position de la flcheaprs avoir consult le schma surla duret de leau.

Rense ignez -vousauprs de la

socit qui estcharge de la

distribution deleau dans votre

vil le.

La duret de leau varie dun endroit lautre. Si votre eau est dure et quaucunadoucisseur nest install, des incrustations pourraient se former sur votre vaisselle.Or, votre lave-vaisselle dispose dun adoucisseur qui utilise du sel spcial et limine lecalcaire de leau.

Utilisez les lectromnagers de faonintelligente, vous ferez des conomies etchouchouterez lenvironnement.

Economiser: cestpossible

Charge maximumPour optimiser vos consommations, faitesfonctionner votre lave-vaisselle sa chargemaximum. Si vous narrivez pas le remplirtout de suite, utilisez le cycle trempage, vousviterez la formation de mauvaises odeurs etdincrustations.

Le bon programme.Choisissez le programme appropri au type dechargement que vous avez effectu. Le choixdu programme dpend du type de vaisselleque vous devez laver et de son degr desalissure. Pour effectuer le bon choix, consultezle tableau des programmes page 6.

n Vous pouvez laver presque toutevotre argenterie au lave-vais-selle. A deux exceptions prs:largenterie ancienne et celle quiest dcore avec un agent oxy-dant. Installation et dmnagement

A son achat ou aprs un dmnagement, le bon fonctionnement devotre lave-vaisselle dpend en grande partie de son installation.

Faute de quoi, vousrisquez dendommager votre lave-vaisselle cause du risque den-gorgement au point darrive deleau.

Branchementlectrique.Vrifiez avant tout si les valeurs detension et de frquence du rseaucorrespondent bien celles qui sontindiques sur ltiquette place surla contre-porte inox de la machineet si linstallation lectrique la-quelle vous la raccordez est biendimensionne pour le courant maxi-mum indiqu sur ltiquette.

Terre: scuritindispensable.Vous pouvez alors insrer la fichedans une prise de courant muniedune liaison la terre efficace (lamise la terre de linstallation estune garantie de scurit prvue parla loi, vrifiez si votre installationest bien en rgle).

First of all.Before placing the dishes in theracks, remove the largest scrapsof food left over on your plates,you will thus avoid blocking thefilter, which would reduce theefficacy of the wash.If the saucepans and frying pansare very dirty, allow them to soakbefore being washed. To make iteasier to load your dishes, pull theracks out.

Multisystem racksThis dishwasher model is fitted withnewer and more modern upper andlower racks and a cutlery basket.They are made to provide greaterflexibility in loading dishes, makingthem more suitable to meet yourspecific needs.

What goes into thelower rack?We recommend you place the mostdifficult dishes to wash into thelower rack: saucepans, lids, soupdishes and plates, but also: mugs,cups and glasses (see photos forload examples).

Serving dishes and largelids: place them on the sidesof the rack.

Saucepans, salad bowls:must always be placed upsidedown

Very deep dishes: placethem obliquely, thus allowingwater to run down them andcleaning them better

Glasses and cups: positionthem as indicated in the figure.

The cutlery basket can be split upby pulling out the handle andremoving the clips that keeps thetwo parts joined together.When you only have little cutleryto wash, you can use just half thebasket; save space for othercrockery or place the other half ofthe basket in the upper rack instead(see figures A and B).This basket is equipped with tworemovable grids: insert the cutleryone by one into the slots, with thehandles at the bottom. Positionthem so that they dont touch.

Load examples

What goes into theupper rack?Place delicate and lightweightdishes in the upper rack: glasses,tea cups and coffee cups, saucers- but plates too - shallow saladbowls, slightly dirty frying pans andshallow pans.Position light weight dishes in sucha way as to avoid their being movedby the spray of water.The appliance can also be equippedwith one or two tip-upcompartments onto which you canplace mugs and cups, as well aslong sharp knives and servingcutlery.After loading the dishes, rememberto check that the blades on thesprayer arms can turn freelywithout hitting against any dishes.

How to adjust the toprack.The upper rack can be set in highor low position to enable you toorganise your dishes effortlessly.

You have loaded your dishes and you now haveto set the wash cycle. It takes just one minuteto learn how

Starting the dishwasher

Ready, steady, go!

First of all.Turn on the water tap completelyand press ON-OFF button "A". youwill hear a short beep and indicatorlight "B" lights up. Now theappliance is on and awaiting in-structions.

Selecting the washcycle.Select the wash cycle by pressingbutton "P". Each time you pressthe button, a beep will sound andindicator lights "E" will light up insequence: choose the cycle youdeem most suited to the type ofdishes to be washed (take a look atpage 16, where you will find thewash cycle table). If the appliancedoor is shut, press the Start button"R" and you will hear a beep; thecycle will start up within a fewseconds.

The dishwasher informsyou.Your dishwasher is fitted withindicator lights (G) which light upto indicate the cycle phase underway.Here are the symbols correspond-ing to each cycle phase:

pre-wash, wash, rinses, drying.At all times, your dishwasher tellsyou which cycle phase is underway.

Modifying a wash cyclein progress.But if you have chosen the wrongcycle, not to worry! You can modifythe wash cycle in progress, if it hasonly just started. Keep the RESETbutton "R" pressed for about 5seconds: a prolonged beep willsound, followed by three shortbeeps. Indicator light "G" will turnoff and at this stage, all the settingswill have been cancelled. You arenow free to re-set the correct washcycle.

Youve left out a dish?Well, it happens to everyone. Inter-rupt the wash cycle by pressing theON-OFF button, insert the dish youhad forgotten and press the ON-OFF button again. The cycle willstart up from where you interruptedit.

Finished?The end of the wash cycle is indi-cated by two short beeps and theflashing of the drying phase indica-tor light. Turn the appliance off by press-

ing button "A", thus cutting offthe electricity supply.

Turn off the water tap. Wait a few minutes before unload-

ing the dishes: they are veryhot! If you wait a little while, theydry better thanks to the steam.

Empty the lower rack first.

Theres been a powerfailure? Have you openedthe dishwasher door?The wash cycle stops and thenrestarts when the electricity comesback on or when you shut the door.Everything is under control!

You decide when itstarts.When you have loaded the dishes,you can choose when to start yourdishwasher before setting the washcycle desired. Press button "D" todelay the start of the wash cycleby 12, 9, 6 or 3 hours. Each timeyou press it, you will hear a shortbeep and the indicator light "G"corresponding to the selecteddelay will light up.Now you can select the desiredwash cycle. Press the start button"R" and after you hear the beep,the countdown to the delayed startwill begin.Once this time is up, the indicator

light will stop flashing and the washcycle will begin.If you have set a 12 hour delay, forexample, once you have selectedthe wash cycle, the 12 hourindicator light will flash followedby the others in sequence until theset time delay is up. A quick lookat the indicator lights will keep youinformed of the countdownprogress at all times.

Have you changed yourmind?If you change your mind, you canset a shorter time delay: press but-ton "D" to select it. You need notreset the wash cycle.

If on the other hand you want tocancel the delay set and you wantthe cycle to start immediately,press button "D" repeatedly untilthe cycle starts and indicator light"G" corresponding to the cyclestart phase comes on.

Dual function of indicatorlights "G"

1) flashing to indicate adelayed start: to remind youthat you have set a delayed start;

2) on and not flashingbeneath the cycle phasesymbol:meaning the cycle has started andis in the phase indicated by thesymbol.

You want to wash on onerack only? Remember touse half the amount ofdetergent.If you only have a few dishes towash, you can decide to run a half-load, to save on water, electricityand detergent. Before setting anywash cycle whatsoever, press but-ton "F", indicator light "H" will lightup and your dishwasher will washon the upper rack only.

Would you like to seewhich settings you havemade?At any time, when the cycle is underway, if you press button "P", thecycle in progress indicator light willlight up for a few seconds, followedby the half load indicator light,wherever set.

If opening thedoor soon afterthe end of theprogramme ,orduring it, standaway from theDishwasher, toavoid possible

injury from hots team.

D ISHWASHERDetergent and rinse aid

The rinse aid.This product makes dishes sparklemore as it improves their drying.The rinse aid container is situatedon the inside of the appliance door;you should refill it when you seethe container is empty by meansof indicator light D.(If your dishwasher is fitted with alow rinse aid indicator light, fillthe container up when the indicatorlight flashes or lights up).

Loading the rinse aid.To open the dispenser, turn cap Canticlockwise. Take care when youpour in the rinse aid to avoid itoverflowing. You can adapt theamount of rinse aid used by thedishwasher: regulate the adjusterF which you will find under lid C.You can choose from six differentpositions.

The detergentLoading the detergentTo open lid A, press button B. Thedetergent should be poured into thetwo containers C and D up to therim.Now you can close the lid: press itdown until you hear it click.If you prefer to use the detergentin tablet form, then place one insidethe container D and close the lid.

It wont close!Check whether there is anydetergent residue on the edges ofthe dispenser. It is due to this resi-due that the lid wont close. Get ridof it and youll see that it closes.

Only use specific dishwasher detergents. Pour the detergent into thedispenser on the inside of the door. Before the wash cycle starts!

Use the rightamount ofdetergent: if youuse too much,you will not getcleaner dishes,but just moree n v i r o n m e n t a lp o l l u t i o n .

Loading the salt.Always use salt which is intendedfor dishwasher use.The salt container is situatedunderneath the lower rack, fill itup as follows:1.Pull out the lower rack

completely, unscrew andremove the container cap

2. Is it the first time you load thesalt? First fill the container upwith water (you wont have todo this again next time)

3. Put the dishwasher funnel on thehole and pour in approximatelytwo kilos of salt. It is normalthat some water comes out ofthe container.

4. Screw the cap back in placecarefully.

Water in your home

When should I load the salt?The salt container should be filledup when the low salt indicator light"S" flashes. Once you have loadedthe salt for the first time, it isnormal that the low salt indicatorlight stays on or flashes for about 5consecutive cycles.

Salt adjustmentYour dishwasher can adjust its saltconsumption according to the hard-ness of the water in your home.This way, you can optimise andcustomise your dishwashers saltconsumption (not too much, nor toolittle).

To adjust salt consumption, do asfollows:1. Unscrew the salt container cap2. There is an arrow on the neck of

the container (see figure): ifnecessary, turn the arrow anti-clockwise from the "-" settingto the "+" setting.

Select the arrow positiondepending on the water hardness,referring to the table provided.

Water hardness varies according to where you live. If the water in your home ishard, without water softening, incrustations would form on your dishes. Yourdishwasher is fitted with a water softener which uses special salt to get rid oflimescale in the water.

Savings are easy

Maximum load.To optimise consumption levels, try to use thedishwasher with a full load only. If it takesquite some time to fill up your dishwasher,use the soak cycle to avoid the formation ofbad odours and caked-on food.

The right wash cycle.Select the most suitable wash cycle for thetype of load you have placed in the dishwasher.The choice of wash cycle depends on the typeof dishes to wash and on how dirty they are.To select the right wash cycle, please consultthe wash cycle table on page 6.

Apart frommaking you savetime and energy,your dishwasherdisinfects yourdishes, washingthem at a hightemperature.

n Silver plates and serving dishesshould be washed immediatelyafter use, especially if they havecontained salt, eggs, olives,mustard, vinegar, fruit juicesand cooked vegetables.

n Almost all silverware can becleaned in a dishwasher.There are two exceptions: oldsilverware and silverwaredecorated with an oxidisingagent. Hot water can loosenthe handles on old silverwaread wear off the decorations onthe other.Never let silverware come intocontact with other metals: youwill thus avoid stains andblackening

Installation and moving

After having bought or moved your dishwasher to another home, acorrect installation ensures that your dishwasher will operatesmoothly and efficiently.

making the connection. If thisprecaution is not taken, the waterinlet could get blocked, causingdamage to your dishwasher.

Hot water connection.Your dishwasher can be suppliedwith hot water from the mainssupply (if you have a central heatingsystem with radiators) at a tempe-rature of no more than 60C.In this case, the wash cycle timewill be about 15 minutes shorterand the wash will be slightly lesseffective.The connection must be made tohot water supply following thesame procedures as those indicatedfor the cold water connection.

Drain hose connection.Drain hose connection.Fit the drain pipe into a drain linewith a minimum diameter of 4 cmor place it over the sink. Avoidrestricting or bending it. Use thespecial plastic elbow provided (seefigure) to position it in the bestpossible way. The part of the pipemarked with the letter A should bebetween 40 and 100 cm above theground.The pipe should not be immersedin water.

Electrical connection.First of all, check that the mainsvoltage and frequency valuescorrespond to those stated on therating plate located on the stainlesssteel inner door of the applianceand that the electrical system towhich the dishwasher is connectedis sized for the maximum currentindicated on said rating plate.

Earth: indispensablesafety.Only now can you plug theappliance into a socket providedwith an efficient earth connection(the systems earthing is aguarantee of safety provided for bylaw, make sure your system hasit).

Choose where you want to installyour dishwasher, you can evenplace it so that its sides or backpanel are side by side with furnitureor up against the wall. Thedishwasher is provided with watersupply and drain hoses, which canbe directed towards the left or rightto facilitate appropriateinstallation.This dishwasher model can be builtunder a single worktop (please readthe relevant instruction sheet).

Levelling.Once the appliance is positioned,adjust the feet by screwing them inor out depending on how high youwant it and to level it so that it ishorizontal. Make sure that it is notinclined more than 2 degrees. If theappliance is level, it will help ensureits correct operation.

Cold water connection.This electric household applianceshould be connected to the watermains using the cold water supplyhose provided with the applianceonly. Do not use a different hose. Inthe event of replacements, useoriginal spare parts only.Connect the cold water supplyhose to a 3/4 gas threadedconnection, insert the small filtersupplied with the dishwasher andtaking care to screw it tightly ontothe tap (see figure 2). Safety within your homeYour dishwasher was built in accordance with the strictest international safety regulations. They protectyou and your family. Read the instructions and information contained in this manual: they will provideyou with useful hints as to installation, use and maintenance safety. To avoid nasty surprises.

1. Dispose of the packagingmaterial carefully (follow theinstructions on how to divideyour rubbish up provided byyour local Council)

2. After removing the packaging,check to make sure yourappliance is intact. If in doubt,contact a qualifiedprofessional.

3. Your dishwasher must only beused by adults and for washinghousehold dishes, according tothe instructions included inthis manual. Do not touch theappliance with wet hands orfeet or barefoot.

4. We discourage the use ofextension leads and multipleplugs. If the electricity supplywire is not long enough, thenhave it replaced with one ofthe correct length andremember that it should befree of bends or dangerouskinks.

5. If the appliance is not operatingproperly or if maintenanceoperations are necessary,disconnect the dishwasherfrom the mains power supply(unplug it!).

6. Keep children away from thedishwasher when it is open andkeep detergents out of theirreach.

7. Your dishwasher is not to beinstalled outdoors, not even ifthe area is covered by a roof:it is extremely dangerous toleave it exposed to rain andthunderstorms.

8. Do not touch the heatingelement during or straight aftera wash cycle.

9. Do not lean or sit on the doorwhen it is open, as this couldoverturn the dishwasher.

10. If the appliance malfunctions,turn off the water inlet tap anddisconnect the plug from thewall socket. Then try

consulting the section entitled"I you have a problem, readthis". If you cannot resolve theproblem, then call the servicecentre.

If you have a problem, read thisYour dishwasher may not work or not function properly. In many cases, these are problems which can besolved without having to call for a technician. Before calling the service centre, always check the pointsbelow.

Error messages.Your dishwasher is equipped witha safety system which is able todetect any operating anomalies.These anomalies are reported byone or two wash cycle indicatorlights "E" flashing rapidly. Take anote of which lights are flashing,turn the appliance off and call fortechnical assistance.

Tap off alarmIf you have forgotten to turn thewater tap on, your appliance willremind you of this by sounding afew short beeps for a few minutes.Turn the tap on and your appliancewill start up again after a fewminutes. Were you to be absentwhen these beeps are sounded, the

appliance will be blocked automati-cally and wash cycle 4 and 5indicator lights (quick wash andsoak) will flash rapidly. Turn theappliance off at the ON-OFF but-ton, turn on the water tap and waitapproximately 20 seconds beforeturning the appliance back on, thenrepeat the programming operationsand start the appliance by pressingthe Start button.

Clogged filter alarmIf the appliance is blocked andwash cycle 3 and 5 indicator lights(eco and soak) flash rapidly, thismeans the filter is clogged by largeparticles of food residue. Turn theappliance off, clean the filterthoroughly and reposition it in itsseat as illustrated on page 10. Thenturn the appliance back on. Repeatthe programming operations andstart the dishwasher by pressingthe Start button.

Troubleshooting

You have checkedeverything, but thedishwasher still doesntwork and the problempersists?Call an authorised service centrenear you and remember to mention: the type of malfunction the model mark (Mod.) and theserial number (S/N.) indicated onthe rating plate located on the innerdoor, to one side.

11. Once taken out of use,appliances must be madeinoperable: cut the powersupply wire and damage thedoor lock.

D ISHWASHERCleaning and special maintenanceThe filter assemblyIf you want consistent good resultsfrom your dishwasher, you need toclean the filter assembly.The food particles are removedfrom the wash water, allowing it tobe recirculated during the cycle,filtered perfectly. For this reason,it is a good idea to remove the largerfood particles trapped inside thecup C and the semi-circular filterA after each wash; pull the cuphandle upwards to remove them.Just rinse them under runningwater.The entire filter assembly shouldbe cleaned thoroughly once amonth: cup C + semi-circular filterA + cylindrical filter B. Rotate filterB anticlockwise to remove it.For cleaning, use a non metallicbrush.

Reassemble the filter parts (asshown in the figure) and reinsertthe whole assembly into thedishwasher. Position it into itshousing and press downwards.The dishwasher is not to be usedwithout filters. Improperreplacement of the filters may re-duce the efficiency of the wash andeven damage your dishwasher.

Cleaning the sprayerarms.Food residue may becomeencrusted onto the sprayer armsand block the holes where watercomes out. Check the sprayer armsregularly and clean them once in awhile (letters F and I Close-upview).

Once in a while,once a month,spend a little timeon the filterassembly and thesprayer arms.

Keep your dishwasher in shapeRespecting these few rules ensures you will alwayshave a reliable work companion by your side.After every wash.When the wash cycle has ended,always remember to turn off thewater supply tap and to leave theappliance door ajar. This way,moisture and bad odours will notbe trapped inside.

Unplug the appliance.Before carrying out any cleaningor maintenance on the dishwasher,always remove the plug from theelectricity socket. Do not run risks.

No solvents! No abrasives!To clean the exterior and rubberparts of your appliance, do not usesolvents or abrasive cleaningproducts. Use a cloth dampenedwith lukewarm soapy water only.If there are any stains on thesurface of the appliance interior,use a cloth dampened with waterand a little white vinegar, or acleaning product specifically madefor dishwashers.

Going on holiday?When you go away for an extendedperiod of time, we recommend youdo the following: run a cycle with the dishwasher

empty turn off the water inlet tap. leave the appliance door ajarThis will help the seals last longerand prevent unpleasant odoursfrom forming inside the appliance.

Moving the appliance.Should the appliance have to bemoved, try to keep it in a verticalposition. If absolutely necessary, itcan be positioned on its back.

The seals.One of the factors that causeunpleasant odours to form insidethe dishwasher is food that remainstrapped in the seals. Periodiccleaning using a damp sponge willprevent this from occurring.

Your dishwasher is not a wastedisintegrator!

Do not worry about removing everysingle bit of food residue from your

dishes, but do get rid of bones, peel andrind and any other left-overs before

placing them in the racks. Empty outall glasses and cups.

Cleaning the Water InletFilterPeriodically clean the water inletfilter (see figure 2 under"Installation") located on the outletof the water supply tap. Afterturning off the water tap, unscrewthe end of the water supply hose,remove the filter and clean itcarefully under running water.Then, return the filter to its placeand tighten the water supply hoseback into position.
