Message from the General Conference OfficersWe are delighted to welcome you to the 60th Session of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, held from July 2 to July 11, 2015, in San Antonio, Texas. The theme for this session, “Arise! Shine! Jesus is coming!” points us to our hope and our calling as Seventh-day Adventists. What a wonderful message we have to share with a world desperately in need of a Savior and the knowledge of His soon return. During our time together here in San Antonio, we look forward to highly spiritual meetings as we listen to reports of how God is working through His people in amazing ways, carrying the important Three Angels’ Messages found in Revelation 14 to every corner of the globe, and reaching into every region, every town, and every home with this lifesaving message. Yet, there is still more to do. Certainly, the only hope for this world is Christ’s soon coming—and what a privilege we share in spreading this message of hope. This special work must involve everyone—women, men, children, youth. All are needed to influence individuals for Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. During a General Conference Session, we have not only the joy of worshipping together as a worldwide family, but also the opportunity to focus clearly on the mission of the church and how best to accomplish that heaven-born task. The objectives of our overall mission theme, “Reach the World,” will continue until the Lord comes as we reach up to God, reach in with God to nurture and train others, and reach out with God to others through evangelistic and witnessing activities. Let us continue moving forward together as we allow God’s Holy Word to guide us, and His Holy Spirit to work among us. Let us remember the Holy Spirit’s wonderful direction in personal and corporate revival and reformation; in health and community outreach through Comprehensive Health Ministry, integrated evangelism, and media approaches; in public evangelism and Mission to the Cities. Millions are longing for the hope that we have to share. Moving forward, let us reaffirm the foundational truths of the Bible that make us who we are as Seventh-day Adventists, never fearful of sharing our distinctive biblical beliefs that point to Christ; His life, death, and resurrection; His work in the heavenly sanctuary; and His soon second coming. As we meet together, let us lift up God’s work as central to all that we do. Let Christ’s righteousness be the theme of our personal and public expression of who we are as Seventh-day Adventist Christians. Let us pray together for God’s marvelous leading during our 60th General Conference Session as we plead with the Lord for the outpouring of the latter rain of the Holy Spirit and the second coming of Jesus Christ. Let us invite the Holy Spirit to control our every word and action at this Session so that all we say and do will be done in a Christlike manner and with great Christian respect for each other. Let us pray that every decision we make will further God’s plans and strengthen His church for the mission that He has entrusted to us. May we feel anew the joy of God’s grace, the urgency of our task, and the power of His promises: “Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise: ‘For yet a little while, and He who is coming will come and will not tarry.’ ” (Hebrews 10:35-37, NKJV).* Arise! DENOMINATIONAL RETIREE SEATINGReserved seating for denominational retirees holding passes is available behind delegate seating in the Alamodome. Retiree passes are available at the Information Desk located at the main entrance to the Alamodome, Plaza Level.


DISTRIBUTION OF MATERIALS TO DELEGATESAll reports for consideration by the delegates, and any other approved material, will be distributed during business sessions under the supervision of G Thomas Evans. Distribution approval for materials must be obtained from Myron A Iseminger, Undersecretary of the General Conference. Forms to facilitate such approval may be obtained from the Business Center on the 2nd Level of the HBGCC, Room 206.

Lunch will be served in Exhibit Hall D in the HBGCC. Lunch: 12:00 noon–2:00 pm. Friday night and Sabbath supper: 5:00–7:00 pm. Breakfast and snack items are available in the Lobby Bridge Café, HBGCC. INSTEP4LIFE 5K FUN RUN/WALKGC SESSION, SAN ANTONIO, TXJoin thousands of Adventists and friends on July 5, 2015, from 6:00 to 7:00 am for a 5K fun run/walk followed by awards. People of any age are welcome to participate or to cheer. The GC Instep4Life 5K fun run/walk is sponsored by the General Conference Health Ministries and the North American Division Health Ministries. The “Adventists Instep for Life” initiative focuses on promoting healthy living while raising awareness about childhood obesity. Preregistration is required, with limited availability for 2,500 people only.

MUSIC USE AND RECORDINGThe General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists has secured permission to use and record music at this Session. That permission is not transferable to others. Use or recording of any music for other than personal enjoyment is a violation of applicable copyright laws.

PARKINGParking is available in many lots adjacent to HBGCC and the Alamodome in the downtown area of San Antonio. Rates vary depending on the lot.

PERSONAL BELONGINGSKeep your personal belongings with you at all times. Do not leave briefcases or other packages in the delegate


area, meeting rooms, or halls. They will be removed by security and may be destroyed.

PICTURESOfficial photographers have been assigned to cover the events of the Session. Reporters, editors, and communication directors requiring pictures for press purposes should contact the Press Room located in the Press Box, Alamodome.

POST OFFICEIncoming mail should be directed to your hotel. Outgoing mail may be sent from your hotel’s concierge desk or from the post office located at 615 E. Houston St., San Antonio, TX 78205, which is about four blocks (.32 kilometers) from the HBGCC. It is across from the Alamo and the Emily Morgan Hotel.

PRAYER ROOMWhenever the church has accomplished something great for God, there has been a group of intercessors in a side room, praying for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Because of the opportunities and challenges facing this church in the quinquennium ahead, and because of the significant decisions being made here concerning leadership and priorities, you are invited to be part of such a prayer group.

Prayer warriors will be meeting in the Prayer Room from 8:00 am-8:00 pm in Room F of the Alamodome. You are invited to come and join us and pray either in a group, or with a prayer warrior for a personal need, or by yourself if you just need a quiet place. We look forward to seeing you.

PUBLIC RESPONSESAs we meet together for this General Conference Session, we rejoice at evidences of the Lord’s goodness and leading in our midst. To Him alone be the glory! In our worship and business sessions let us respond publicly in ways that exalt Him, which at appropriate times may include applause. It is requested, however, that there be no applause in response to speeches made on the floor during business sessions.

SIMULTANEOUS INTERPRETATIONSession proceedings are being broadcast in various languages by FM radio. You may provide your own FM receiver or purchase one at the Adventist World Radio kiosk located at the NE Plaza Level entrance, Alamodome.

Message des administrateurs de la Conférence généraleNous sommes heureux de vous accueillir à la 60e session de la Conférence générale des adventistes du septième jour, du 2 au 11 juillet 2015, à San Antonio, au Texas. Le thème de cette session, « Levez-vous ! Resplendissez ! Jésus revient ! », nous fait réfléchir à notre espérance et à notre appel en tant qu’adventistes du septième jour. Quel merveilleux message que celui de son retour imminent à partager avec un monde qui a désespérément besoin d’un sauveur ! Au cours de cette semaine que nous passerons ensemble à San Antonio, nous participerons à des réunions hautement spirituelles. Nous entendrons également des rapports sur les façons étonnantes dont Dieu travaille par l’intermédiaire de ses enfants, lesquels répandent le message des trois anges d’Apocalypse 14 aux quatre coins de la terre, et transmettent ce message porteur de vie dans chaque région, chaque ville, et chaque foyer. Cependant, il reste encore beaucoup à faire. Ce monde en perdition n’a, assurément, qu’un seul espoir : le retour imminent de Jésus. Quel privilège avons-nous de propager ce message d’espérance ! Cette mission spéciale nous concerne tous : femmes, hommes, enfants, jeunes adultes – chacun a son rôle à jouer pour atteindre les gens pour Christ, par la puissance du Saint-Esprit. Pendant cette session de la Conférence générale, la famille mondiale adventiste aura non seulement la joie d’adorer ensemble son Dieu, mais aussi l’occasion de se focaliser sur la mission de l’Église et sur les meilleurs moyens de l’accomplir. SERVICE ALIMENTAIREDes tickets prépayés pour les repas peuvent être retirés, preuve de paiement à l’appui, au stand « Meal Ticket » situé dans la zone d’enregistrement est (East Registration) du HBGCC ,de 7h00 à 18h30 (fermé le sabbat). Le déjeuner sera servi dans le hall d’exposition D du HBGCC de 12h00 à 14h00. Les dîners du vendredi et du sabbat seront servis de 17h00 à 19h00. Les petits-déjeuners et autres en-cas sont disponibles au Café Lobby Bridge - HBGCC de 7h30 à 12h00 (fermé le sabbat). Le « Food Court » situé dans le Hall D du HBGCC proposera les dîners du dimanche au jeudi de 15h00 à 18h30.

COURSEMARCHE INSTEP4LIFE5KFUN RUN SESSION DE LA GC, SAN ANTONIO, TXJoignez-vous à des milliers d’adventistes et d’amis le 5 juillet, de 6h00 à 7h00, pour une amusante course/marche de 5 kilomètres suivie d’une remise de trophées. Des gens de tout âge sont invités à prendre part à cette activité ou à encourager ceux qui y participent. Le « Instep4Life 5K fun run » de la GC est sponsorisé par l’initiative « Adventist Instep for Life » du Ministère de la santé de la Conférence générale et de la Division nord-américaine. L’initiative « The Adventists Instep for Life » met l’accent sur la promotion d’un style de vie sain tandis qu’elle sensibilise le public aux problèmes de l’obésité juvénile.

OBJETS PERDUSLes objets perdus doivent être déposés au stand d’information le plus proche ou à la salle 1066 du HBGCC. Les mallettes de délégués sont souvent égarées. N’oubliez pas de remplir l’étiquette d’identification de votre mallette afin qu’elle puisse vous être retournée.

UTILISATION DE MUSIQUE ET D’ENREGISTREMENTLa Conférence générale des adventistes du septième jour a obtenu l’autorisation d’utiliser et d’enregistrer de la musique durant cette session. Cette autorisation n’est pas transférable. L’utilisation de toute musique à des fins non personnelles est une violation de la loi en vigueur sur les droits d’auteur.

PARKINGDes parkings sont disponibles aux alentours du HBGCC, à l’Alamodome et au centre-ville de San Antonio. Les prix varient selon l’endroit.

PHOTOSDes photographes officiels ont été assignés pour couvrir les événements de la session. Les reporters, rédacteurs et directeurs de communication qui ont besoin de photos pour leurs publications doivent contacter le service de presse situé dans la « Press Box » de l’Alamodome.

BUREAU DE POSTEVotre courrier personnel doit être adressé directement à votre hôtel. Les lettres à expédier peuvent être envoyées de la conciergerie de votre hôtel ou du bureau de poste situé au 615 E. Houston St., San Antonio, TX 78205. Il se trouve en face de l’Alamo et de l’Hôtel Emily Morgan, à environ 300 mètres du HBGCC.

SALLE DE PRIÈREChaque fois que l’Église mondiale se réunit de façon spéciale, un groupe d’intercesseurs prie pour l’effusion du Saint Esprit. En raison des occasions et des défis auxquels l’Église aura à faire face durant le quinquennat à venir, et des décisions importantes qui vont être prises à l’égard du leadership et des priorités, vous êtes cordialement invités à faire partie de ce groupe de prière.

Le groupe de prière se réunira tous les jours dans la salle F de l’Alamodome, de 8h00 à 20h00. N’hésitez pas à vous joindre à nous pour prier en groupe, ou avec un intercesseur dans le cadre d’un besoin personnel, ou simplement pour profiter d’un petit coin tranquille... Nous vous attendons !

Botschaft des Vorstands der GeneralkonferenzVoller Freude heißen wir euch zur 60. Vollversammlung der Generalkonferenz der Siebenten-Tags-Adventisten vom 2. bis 11. Juli 2015 in San Antonio willkommen. Das Motto dieser Vollversammlung: „Mach dich auf! Werde Licht! Jesus kommt!“ bringt unsere Hoffnung und unsere Berufung als Siebenten-Tags-Adventisten zum Ausdruck. Wir haben eine wunderbare Botschaft für eine Welt, die verzweifelt einen Retter braucht und von seiner baldigen Wiederkunft erfahren muss. Während unserer gemeinsamen Zeit hier in San Antonio dürfen wir uns auf tiefe geistliche Stunden freuen. Wir werden Berichte darüber hören, wie Gott auf erstaunliche Art und Weise durch sein Volk wirkt, um die dreifache Engelsbotschaft aus Offenbarung 14 auch in den letzten Winkel unserer Erde zu bringen und wir werden hören, wie die Adventbewegung jede Region, jede Stadt und jede Familie mit dieser lebensrettenden Botschaft erreichen wird. Doch es gibt noch viel zu tun. Die einzige Hoffnung für diese Welt ist die bevorstehende Wiederkunft Christi, und es ist unser Vorrecht, diese Botschaft der Hoffnung zu verbreiten. In die Erfüllung dieser besonderen Aufgabe muss jeder einbezogen werden: Frauen und Männer, Kinder, Jugendliche und Erwachsene – alle werden gebraucht, um durch die Kraft des Heiligen Geistes Menschen für Christus zu gewinnen. Während der Vollversammlung der Generalkonferenz werden wir nicht nur die Freude haben, als weltweite Glaubensfamilie Gottesdienste miteinander zu erleben, wir werden auch unser Augenmerk auf die Mission unserer Kirche lenken und darauf, wie wir unsere von Gott empfangene Aufgabe, am besten vollenden können. Die Ziele unseres großen, übergreifenden Missionsthemas „Die Welt erreichen“ werden bestehen bleiben, bis Jesus wiederkommt. Bis dahin werden wir nicht aufhören, uns nach Gott auszustrecken, mit Gott andere auszubilden und zu ihrem geistlichen Wachstum beizutragen und uns ebenfalls mit Gott durch Evangelisationen und Glaubenszeugnis nach anderen auszustrecken, um sie mit der guten Nachricht zu erreichen. Lasst uns weiter vorangehen und uns vom heiligen Wort Gottes führen lassen. Lasst den Heiligen Geist weiter unter uns wirken. Wir wollen vorangehen und die grundlegenden Wahrheiten der Bibel, die uns zu dem machen, was wir als Siebenten-Tags-Adventisten sind, erneut bekräftigen. Habt niemals Angst davor, unsere besonderen Glaubensüberzeugungen weiterzusagen, die auf Christus, sein Leben und Sterben, seine Auferstehung, seinen Dienst im himmlischen Heiligtum und seine nah bevorstehende Wiederkunft hinweisen. Lasst uns in unseren Zusammenkünften Gottes Werk hervorheben, das im Mittelpunkt all dessen steht, was wir tun. Die Gerechtigkeit Christi soll für uns persönlich und als ganze Gemeinde Ausdruck dessen sein, was wir als Christen und Siebenten-Tags-Adventisten sind. östlichen Anmeldebereich (East Registration) des Henry-B.-Gonzalez-Kongresszentrums abgeholt werden. Öffnungszeiten: 7:00 – 18:30; sabbats geschlossen. Das Mittagessen findet von 12:00 – 14:00 Uhr in der Ausstellungshalle D im Henry-B.-Gonzalez-Kongresszentrum statt. Abendessen am Freitagabend und Sabbat: 17:00 – 19:00 Uhr. Frühstück und kleine Imbisse sind von 7:30 – 12:00 Uhr im Lobby Bridge Café im Henry-B.-Gonzalez-Kongresszentrum erhältlich; an den Sabbaten hat es geschlossen. 5KILOMETERLAUF WÄHREND DER KONFERENZ IN SAN ANTONIOAm 5. Juli findet von 6:00 – 7:00 Uhr ein 5-Kilometer-Fun-Run mit anschließender Siegerehrung statt. Initiator ist die Gesundheitsinitiative „Adventists InStep for Life“ der Gesundheitsabteilung der Generalkonferenz und der Nordamerikanischen Division. Ihr Anliegen ist es, einen gesunden Lebensstil zu propagieren und die Bevölkerung für Übergewicht bei Kindern zu sensibilisieren. Alle sind eingeladen, teilzunehmen oder anzufeuern. Es gibt keine Altersbeschränkung, die Distanz kann auch gegangen werden. Eine Anmeldung ist erforderlich, die Teilnehmerzahl ist auf 2500 begrenzt. Die Generalkonferenz der Siebenten-Tags-Adventisten hat die Rechte für die Verwendung und Aufnahme der Musik während der Konferenz erworben. Diese Rechte sind nicht übertragbar. Die Verwendung oder Aufzeichnung von Musik ausser zur persönlichen Verwendung,verstößt gegen das Urheberrechtsgesetz.

PARKENParkplätze befinden sich in der Nähe des Henry-B.-Gonzalez-Kongresszentrums und des Alamodomes sowie im Stadtzentrum von San Antonio. Die Parkgebühren variieren je nach Lage.

PRIVATGEGENSTÄNDEPrivatgegenstände sind immer bei sich zu tragen. Taschen oder andere Gegenstände dürfen nicht im Delegiertenbereich, in Sitzungsräumen oder Hallen liegengelassen werden. Sie werden vom Sicherheitspersonal entfernt und gegebenenfalls vernichtet.

FOTOSDie Veranstaltungen der Konferenz werden von offiziellen Fotografen festgehalten. Berichterstatter, Redakteure und Kommunikationsabteilungsleiter, die Fotos für Pressezwecke brauchen, wenden sich bitte an die Pressekabine im Alamodome.

POSTAMTEingehende Post sollte direkt an dein Hotel geschickt werden. GEBETSRAUMImmer wenn die Gemeinde etwas Großes für Gott getan hat, hat es in einem Nebenraum eine Gruppe von Menschen gegeben, die um die Ausgießung des Heiligen Geistes gebetet haben. Da wir vor wichtigen Entscheidungen im Bezug auf die Führung und die Prioritäten unserer Kirche stehen und in den nächsten fünf Jahren Gelegenheiten und Herausforderungen vor

uns liegen, laden wir dich ein, dich solch einer Gebetsgruppe anzuschließen.

Von 8:00 – 20:00 Uhr werden sich die Beter in Raum F im Alamodome zum gemeinsamen Gebet treffen. Du bist eingeladen, dich entweder der Gruppe anzuschließen, mit jemandem aus der Gruppe zu zweit ein persönliches Anliegen vor Gott zu bringen oder einfach für dich allein zu beten, wenn du einen ruhigen Ort dazu suchst. Wir freuen uns auf dich.

ANGEMESSENE BEIFALLSBEKUNDUNGENIn unseren Zusammenkünften bei dieser Generalkonferenz freuen wir uns darüber, wie sich Gottes Güte und Führung in unserer Mitte erweist. Ihm allein gebührt dafür die Ehre! In unseren Andachten und Geschäftssitzungen wollen wir unsere Zustimmung so ausdrücken, dass Gott erhoben wird; wo es angemessen ist, kann dies auch durch Applaus geschehen. REISEVERANSTALTERDer Reiseveranstalter MTS-Travel hat seinen Standort auf dem Kongress im westlichen Anmeldungsbereich (West Registration) im Henry-B.-Gonzalez-Kongresszentrum und steht für Fragen rund ums Reisen und Buchungen zur Verfügung.

ROLLSTÜHLE, KINDERWAGEN, BEHINDERTENGERECHTE ZUGÄNGEDie Zugänge zum Alamodome für Personen mit Behinderungen befinden sich bei allen Eingängen auf Straßenhöhe.

HINWEIS ZU DEN AUFNAHMENDie Generalkonferenz fertigt Aufnahmen von den Veranstaltungen der Vollversammlung an, die vor allem zur Archivierung und Berichtführung dienen. Mensagem dos Oficiais da Associação GeralCom alegria, damos-lhe as boas-vindas à 60ª Assembleia da Associação Geral dos Adventistas do Sétimo Dia, realizada de 2 a 11 de julho de 2015, em San Antonio, Texas. O tema desta Assembleia, “Levante-se! Resplandeça! Jesus está voltando!”, destaca nossa esperança e nosso chamado como adventistas do sétimo dia. Que mensagem maravilhosa nos foi confiada para compartilhar com o mundo que necessita desesperadamente de um Salvador e do conhecimento de Sua breve volta. Durante o tempo que passarmos aqui em San Antonio, anelamos ter uma reunião altamente espiritual ao ouvirmos relatórios de como Deus está operando de forma maravilhosa por meio de Seu povo que leva o importante conteúdo das Três Mensagens Angélicas de Apocalipse 14 a cada canto do mundo, e de como a missão do movimento adventista é penetrar cada região, cidade e lar com essa mensagem de salvação. No entanto, ainda há muito a ser feito. Certamente, a única esperança para este mundo é a breve volta de Cristo – e quão privilegiados somos de participar na propagação dessa mensagem de esperança. Esta obra especial deve envolver a todos: mulheres, homens, crianças, jovens, adultos; todos são necessários para alcançar indivíduos para Cristo mediante o poder do Espírito Santo. Durante as reuniões da Assembleia da Associação Geral, não apenas temos a alegria de adorar juntos como uma família mundial, mas temos a oportunidade de claramente nos concentrar na missão da igreja e na melhor forma de realizar essa missão originada no Céu. Os objetivos do nosso tema da missão geral de “Reach the World” (Alcançar o Mundo) continuarão até que o Senhor venha à medida que nos achegamos a Deus, nos aprofundamos com Deus para ensinar e treinar outros, e alcançamos outros com Deus através de atividades evangelísticas e de testemunho. Continuemos a avançar juntos, permitindo que a Santa Palavra de Deus nos guie e que Seu Espírito Santo opere entre nós. Recordemos a maravilhosa direção do Espírito Santo no reavivamento e reforma de cada pessoa e da igreja como um todo, no evangelismo na área de saúde e na comunidade por meio de um Abrangente Ministério da Saúde, de evangelismo integrado, de abordagens integradas de mídia e de evangelismo público, e de Missão para as Grandes Cidades, onde milhões de pessoas anseiam pela esperança que temos para compartilhar. Ao avançarmos, reafirmemos as verdades fundamentais da Bíblia que fazem de nós o que somos como adventistas do sétimo dia. Nunca tenha medo de compartilhar nossas crenças bíblicas distintivas que apontam para Cristo, Sua vida, morte e ressurreição, Sua obra no santuário celestial e Sua segunda vinda. Ao nos reunirmos, enalteçamos a obra de Deus como o âmago de tudo o que fazemos. Que a justiça de Cristo seja o tema de nossa expressão pessoal e pública do que somos como cristãos adventistas do sétimo dia. Oremos juntos para que Deus nos conduza de maneira maravilhosa durante a 60ª Assembleia da Associação Geral ao rogarmos ao Senhor pelo derramamento da chuva serôdia do Espírito Santo e pela segunda vinda de Jesus Cristo. Convidemos o Espírito Santo para controlar cada uma de nossas palavras e ações nessa Assembleia a fim de que tudo o que dissermos e fizermos seja feito de maneira semelhante à de Cristo e com grande respeito cristão de uns para com os outros. Oremos para que cada decisão que tomarmos faça avançar os planos de Deus e fortaleça Sua Igreja para a missão que Ele nos confiou. Que possamos sentir mais uma vez a alegria da graça de Deus, a urgência de nossa tarefa e o poder de Suas promessas. “Não abandoneis, portanto, a vossa confiança; ela tem grande galardão. SALA DE ORAÇÃOSempre que a Igreja faz algo grande para Deus, há um grupo de intercessores em uma sala ao lado, orando pelo derramamento do Espírito Santo. Devido às oportunidades e desafios que serão enfrentados pela Igreja no próximo quinquênio e devido ao fato de que decisões importantes serão tomadas sobre a liderança e as prioridades, você é convidado a fazer parte desse grupo de oração.

Mensaje de los Directivos de la Asociación GeneralNos complace darles la bienvenida al 60º Congreso de la Asociación General de los Adventistas del Séptimo Día, que se lleva a cabo entre los días 2 al 11 de julio de 2015, en San Antonio, Texas. El tema de este Congreso, “¡Levántate! ¡Resplandece! ¡Jesús Viene!”, señala nuestra esperanza y nuestro llamado como adventistas del séptimo día. ¡Qué maravilloso es el mensaje que tenemos para compartir con un mundo que necesita desesperadamente un Salvador y el conocimiento de su pronto regreso! Durante el tiempo que estemos aquí en San Antonio, anhelamos un encuentro sumamente espiritual al escuchar los informes de cómo Dios está obrando a través de su pueblo de maneras increíbles llevando el importante mensaje de los tres ángeles, de Apocalipsis 14, a todos los rincones de la Tierra y alcanzando a toda región, todo pueblo y todo hogar con este mensaje de salvación. Todavía queda mucho por hacer. Ciertamente, la única esperanza para este mundo es el pronto regreso de Cristo; y qué gran privilegio es el de esparcir el mensaje de esperanza. Esta obra especial tiene que involucrar a todos: mujeres, hombres, niños y jóvenes, todos son necesarios para llevar personas a Cristo, por medio del poder del Espíritu Santo. Durante el Congreso de la Asociación General, no solamente tenemos el gozo de adorar juntos como familia mundial; también tenemos la oportunidad de enfocar claramente la atención en la misión de la Iglesia y en cómo cumplir mejor esa misión de origen celestial. Los objetivos del tema de nuestra amplia misión: “Alcanzar el mundo” continuarán hasta la venida de nuestro Señor a medida que nos conectamos con Dios; miramos a nuestro lado para fortalecer, apoyar y capacitar a nuestros semejantes; y con la ayuda de Dios alcanzamos a otros a través de actividades de evangelización y testificación. Continuemos avanzando juntos, permitiendo que la Palabra de Dios nos guíe y que el Espíritu Santo obre entre nosotros. Recordemos la maravillosa dirección del Espíritu Santo en el reavivamiento y reforma personal y corporativos, en los esfuerzos de alcance comunitario y de salud por medio del Ministerio Integral de Salud, en la evangelización integrada, en los enfoques integrados de los medios de comunicación, en la evangelización pública y en Misión en las Ciudades, donde millones ansían recibir la esperanza que tenemos para compartir. Al continuar hacia adelante, reafirmemos las verdades fundamentales de la Biblia que nos hacen lo que somos como adventistas del séptimo día. No tengamos nunca temor de compartir nuestras creencias bíblicas distintivas que señalan hacia Cristo, hacia su vida, muerte y resurrección, su ministerio en el santuario celestial y hacia su pronta venida. Al reunirnos, pongamos la obra de Dios como centro de todo lo que hacemos. Permitamos que la justicia de Cristo sea el tema de nuestra expresión personal y pública de quiénes somos, como cristianos adventistas. Oremos juntos para que la dirección de Dios se manifieste de manera extraordinaria durante el 60° Congreso de la Asociación General supliquémosle al Señor por el derramamiento de la lluvia tardía del Espíritu Santo y por la segunda venida de Jesucristo. Invitemos al Espíritu Santo a controlar cada palabra y acción durante este Congreso, de manera que todo lo que digamos y hagamos sea de la manera en que Cristo lo haría y con gran respeto cristiano entre nosotros. Oremos para que cada decisión que se tome haga avanzar los planes de Dios y fortalezca su Iglesia para la misión que nos ha encomendado. Que podamos experimentar el gozo renovado de la gracia de Dios, la urgencia de nuestra tarea y el poder de sus promesas: “Así que no pierdan la confianza, porque ésta será grandemente recompensada. Ustedes necesitan perseverar para que, después de haber cumplido la voluntad

ASIENTOS PARA JUBILADOS DE LA DENOMINACIÓNHay asientos disponibles reservados para personas jubiladas de la denominación que tengan sus correspondientes pases, en la zona detrás de la asignada a los delegados en el Alamodome. Los pases para jubilados están disponibles en el kiosco de Información localizado en la entrada principal del Alamodome, en el nivel Plaza.

DISTRIBUCIÓN DE MATERIALES A LOS DELEGADOSTodos los informes a considerar por parte de los delegados y cualquier otro material aprobado serán distribuidos durante la sesión de negocios, bajo la supervisión de G Thomas Evans. Debe obtenerse la aprobación de Myron A Iseminger, subsecretario de la AG, para la distribución de materiales que no son parte directa de la agenda del Congreso. Los formularios de aprobación pueden obtenerse en el Centro de Negocios (Business Center) en el 2do. nivel del HBGCC, Sala 206.

SERVICIO DE ALIMENTACIÓNLos boletos para las comidas se pueden recoger presentando el recibo de pago en el kiosco de Meal Tickets en la zona de East Registration (Recepción Este) del HBGCC, de 7:00 – 18:30 (estará cerrado el sábado). La comida del mediodía se servirá en la Sala D (Exhibit Hall D) del HBGCC diariamente entre las 12:00 y las 14:00. La cena del viernes y del sábado se servirá de 17:00 a 19:00. En el Lobby Bridge Café – HBGCC hay refrigerios y comestibles disponibles para el desayuno, de 7:30 a 12:00. (El Lobby Bridge Café permanecerá cerrado los sábados). El ‘Food Court’ localizado en el Hall D del HBGCC ofrecerá las cenas, de domingo a jueves, de 15:00 a 18:30.

CAMINA O CORRE MARATÓN 5K ‘INSTEP4LIFE’ CONGRESO DE LA ASOCIACIÓN GENERAL, SAN ANTONIO, TX Únase a miles de adventistas y amigos el 5 de julio del 2015, de 6:00 – 7:00 en una divertida caminata o carrera, a la que seguirá la entrega de premios. Se invita a participar o a animar a los participantes, a personas de toda edad. La maratón “Instep4Life 5K AG” es patrocinada por el Ministerio de la Salud de la Asociación General y por la iniciativa “Adventists Instep for Life” del Ministerio de la Salud de la División Norteamericana, que enfoca su atención en la promoción de la vida saludable y en crear conciencia con respecto a la obesidad infantil. Se requiere inscripción previa, ya que tienen vacantes disponibles solamente para 2.500 personas.

Considerando que los portafolios o maletines de los delegados se pierden frecuentemente, asegúrese de completar con sus datos la etiqueta de identificación para que pueda recuperar el suyo.

USO Y GRABACIÓN DE LA MÚSICALa Asociación General de los Adventistas del Séptimo Día se ha asegurado los derechos para el uso y la grabación de la música en este congreso. Este permiso no es transferible a ninguna persona. El uso o la grabación de cualquier música para otros usos, excepto el personal, es una violación a las leyes de derechos reservados.

ESTACIONAMIENTOHay lugar disponible en muchas playas de estacionamiento adyacentes al HBGCC y al Alamodome en el centro de la ciudad de San Antonio. Los precios varían de acuerdo al lugar elegido.

OBJETOS PERSONALESMantenga consigo en todo tiempo sus pertenencias. No deje portafolios u otros artículos en el área de delegados, salones de reuniones, salas o pasillos. El equipo de Seguridad los recogerá y tal vez los destruirá.

FOTOGRAFÍASSe han designado asignados fotógrafos oficiales para cubrir los programas del Congreso. Los reporteros, editores y directores de comunicaciones que necesiten fotografías para la prensa, deben acudir a la Sala de Prensa situada en el “Press Box” – Alamodome.

SERVICIO POSTAL O DE CORREOSDebe recibir su correspondencia en la dirección de su propio hotel. Puede enviar su correspondencia a través de la oficina de recepción de su hotel o desde la oficina postal localizada en el 615 E. SALA DE ORACIÓNSiempre que la Iglesia ha logrado algo grande para Dios, ha habido un grupo de intercesores en una habitación contigua, orando por el derramamiento del Espíritu Santo. Debido a las oportunidades y los desafíos que enfrenta la Iglesia en el quinquenio, y debido a las decisiones significativas que se tomarán aquí con respecto a los líderes y las prioridades, lo invitamos a formar parte de este grupo de oración.

Los Guerreros de Oración se reunirán en la Sala de Oración [Sala F del Alamodome] de 8:00 a 20:00. Le invitamos a unirse a nosotros para orar, ya sea en un grupo o con un Guerrero de Oración para presentar algún pedido personal; o bien, solo, si sencillamente necesita un lugar tranquilo para orar. Le estaremos esperando.

RESPUESTAS PÚBLICASAl reunirnos todos juntos para este Congreso de la Asociación General, nos regocijamos ante las evidencias de la bondad y dirección de Dios entre nosotros. ¡A Dios sea la gloria! Planning and preparation for a General Conference Session requires the time and effort of many individuals. The Session Planning Committee includes the chairpersons of each of the various Session Planning subcommittees. We want to thank the members of the Session Planning Committee and all of the subcommittees for their contributions to the General Conference Session.

Relive their inspiring experiences and be challenged by their sacrifice and commitment as together we prepare to tell His story to our generation in anticipation of Christ’s soon return.

Histoire. SON HISTOIRE. Les hommes et les femmes qui entreprirent d’établir l’Église adventiste sentirent l’appel de Dieu à participer à son histoire. Dieu bénit leurs efforts, et l’Église grandit. Revivez leurs expériences édifiantes ! Puissent leur esprit de sacrifice et leur engagement vous interpeler tandis qu’ensemble, nous nous préparons à raconter son histoire à notre génération, en prévision du retour du Christ.

Geschichte. Gottes Geschichte. Die Männer und Frauen, welche die Kirche der Siebenten-Tags-Adventisten gründeten, spürten den Ruf Gottes, Teil seiner Geschichte zu sein. Gott segnete, und die Kirche wuchs. Erlebt ihre ermutigenden Erfahrungen im Geiste mit und lasst euch von ihrer Opferbereitschaft und ihrer Hingabe ansprechen. So wollen wir uns gemeinsam vorbereiten, unserer Generation in der Erwartung der baldigen Wiederkunft Christi seine Geschichte weiterzusagen.

História. SUA HISTÓRIA. Os homens e mulheres que deram início à Igreja Adventista do Sétimo Dia sentiram o chamado de Deus para ser parte de Sua história. Deus abençoou, e a igreja cresceu. Reviva suas experiências inspiradoras e seja desafiado por seu sacrifício e compromisso ao nos prepararmos juntos para contar Sua história à nossa geração em antecipação à breve volta de Jesus Cristo.

13 | When He Cometh

!"Soon our eyes were drawn to the east, for a small black cloud had appeared, about half as large as a man’s hand, which we all knew was the sign of the Son of man. We all in solemn silence gazed on the cloud as it drew nearer, and became lighter, glorious, and still more glorious, till it was a great white cloud. The bottom appeared like fire; a rainbow was over the cloud, while around it were ten thousand angels, singing a most lovely song; and upon it sat the Son of man. His hair was white and curly, and lay on His shoulders; and upon His head were many crowns. His feet had the appearance of fire; in His right hand was a sharp sickle; in His left, a silver trumpet. His eyes were a flame of fire, which searched His children through and through. Then all faces gathered paleness, and those that God had rejected gathered blackness. Then we all cried out:

“Who shall be able to stand? Is my robe spotless?” Then the angels ceased to sing, and there was some time of awful silence, when Jesus spoke: “Those who have clean hands and pure hearts shall be able to stand; My grace is sufficient for you.” At this our faces lighted up, and joy filled every heart. And the angels struck a note higher and sung again, while the cloud drew still nearer the earth. Then Jesus’ silver trumpet sounded, as He descended on the cloud, wrapped in flames of fire. He gazed on the graves of the sleeping saints, then raised His eyes and hands to heaven, and cried, “Awake! awake! awake! ye that sleep in the dust, and arise.” Then there was a mighty earthquake. The graves opened, and the dead came up clothed with immortality. The 144,000 shouted “Alleluia!” as they recognized their friends who had been torn from them by death, and in the same moment we were changed and caught up together with them to meet the Lord in the air.
