Country Location• Located in South America• Argentina is in the southern part of South America• The neighboring countries are Paraguay, Uruguay,

Brazil, Falkland Islands, Chile, Bolivia and so many more.

• Argentina has a low demographic density.• There are 36 million people in Argentina.• 85% of Argentina’s people are not from the

country, but live there.• There are also mixed races of European and

Indian• 88% of the Federal Capital lives in the cities,

22% lives in the rural areas.

• The main cities are Santa Cruz, Mendoza, Rio Grande, Córdoba, La Plata, Rosario, and many more.

• The capital city is Buenos Aires

• One of the main rivers in Argentina is the Correntoso River

• Two of the main mountains are the Andes and the Cerro Acongagua

• Also one of the main waterfalls is the Iguazu Falls

• Argentina’s economy has been growing by 9%• Private sector employers have given many

people over 3 million jobs.

History

• Argentina gained it’s independence on July 9th, 1825.

• A dictator named Juan Peron was a bad man and he ruled Argentina until 1974 when he was executed.

• He was married to a famous woman named Eva Peron.

• Argentina has had a lot of history and it still is known to Argentina today.

Culture- Theater• Buenos Aires has approximately 100 cinemas and

90 theatres• The Colon Theatre, which is among the best

three lyrical theatres music of the city of Buenos Aires is the world-famous tango.

• There is a major theatrical activity in Latin America

• The Colon Theater stand out for it’s arquitecture and its perfect acoustics

Culture- Food• Argentine food is asado (barbecue: meat cooked over live coals), • appart from empanadas ( a sort of turnover meat pie or pastry that

comes with a variety of other stuffings), • tamales ( a dish made of corn meal, chicken or meat wrapped in corn

husks), • humita (dish made of grated corn, sweet peppers and tomatoes

wrapped in the green leaves of corn) • locro ( dish made of meat, potato, pumpkin, corn and sweet pepper).• Also they have vegetables, spices and much more different varieties

of food that no one can name them all• One more thing they have is dishes made with pastas• For dessert they have many things but one thing everyone eats is

churros

• Although, because Argentina migrated these cuisines are international so they don’t only belong to Argentina

• They belong to Spanish, Italian, French, German, Scandinavian, Greek, English, Sweddish, Hungarian, Dutch, Chilean, Mexican, Basque, Jewish, Russian, Ukranian, Chinese, Japanese, Thailander and Arabian.

• Argentina's cultural roots are mainly Europeans.That plays a big part in Argentina.
