Social and Semantic Web: The explosion of Web 2.0 has shown that by using simple interfaces and

high motivation, the community of Internet users can create new resources with great social impact. In this research we aim to define and develop technology for the acquisition, analysis and visualization of data from social media to create semantic resources, useful for decision making.

Areas of ResearchAccessibility and Usability: User interfaces of applications or services should be simple and easy

to use for anyone, including the differently-abled. Aspects of accessibility (access to) and usability (simplicity and ease of use) are crucial for removing technological barriers and bridging the digital divide.
