Organizational structure

The Regional Centre of Innovativeness was erected in 2005 – 2007 as a project prepared by the University of Technology and Life Sciences in Bydgoszcz within the framework of the Integrated Regional Operational Programme co-financed by European Regional Development Fund. Its general purpose is to establish and to tighten links between academic and business community, especially the sector of small and medium enterprises.

The main tasks performed by the Regional Centre of

Innovativeness are:

• creation of a modern system for innovative information

distribution in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie voivodeship,

• initiating and implementing undertakings connected with

knowledge, innovation and know-how transfer in the region,

• coordination of innovative activities of various entities.

Cooperation with economy: •Exchange of knowledge and technology with local companies, •Creating cooperation network between university and economy background, •Improvement of comunication about education and innovation activities, •Academical Business Incubator, •Gaining European Union Founds •Student professional experience and training at local companies

International cooperation: International cooperation at UTP is carried out through a number of activities aimed at establishing contacts with international partners, involvement in joint research and development as well as educational undertakings, recruitment of international candidates for studies in Polish and English as languages of instruction and promoting our University abroad.

UTP offers a wide-range of courses in English for students of UTP, Erasmus+ Programme and for foreigners.

International cooperation: All above-mentioned activities are conducted by the International Relations Office (IRO) whose task is to organize, inform, advise and promote as well as coordinate activities of UTP in the area of international cooperation. The main goal of the International Relations Office is to stimulate development through organization and support of international cooperation, in the scope of both, research and education.

The IRO is responsible for the coordination of: •European research programs •EU and international educational programs •international grants •bilateral and multilateral agreements with foreign institutions •scholarships and internships for academic staff and students •recruitment and registration of foreign students •delegations and visits of representatives of international academy and industry.

The IRO: Office manages the process of preparation and reviewing of international agreements and is responsible for the organization of official visits by international guests. University Contact Point for European Research Programs (UPK) deals with European Union research and development programs. Institutional Erasmus Coordinator . Office for European Educational Programs is in charge of international educational programs, such as Erasmus +. Office for Academic Mobility deals with student and academic staff mobility. Center of International Studies (CIS) is in charge of the recruitment and registration procedures for international students, informative meetings, adaptation services and cultural events.

Since 2014 Erasmus and other programmes (Erasmus, Erasmus Mundus, Tempus, Leonardo da Vinci, Grundtvig, Comenius, Jean Monnet) were included under The European Union programme for education, training, youth and sport ERASMUS+ .
