Area 6 November Member of the Month

Congratulations to Tyler McBride from Pasco, HS for being the November member of the month! Area 6 thanks you for your hard work as you planned and executed your chapter’s DECA week!

• Advisors be sure to email me your Member Nominees at [email protected]

• The chapter with the most members of the month at the end of the year will win a SPIRIT STICK!

Formal Dance: A Fundraiser IdeaDuring DECA Month, Grandview DECA had their DECA week and did not pass by the opportunity to

generate fundraising ideas to help the financial burden of competition and traveling. They hosted

their annual Fall Formal in their local school cafeteria. Formal wear was seen, music was

playing and amplifying their DECA experience was on! Here is how this fundraiser helped them

and how you can turn this into your own idea! Who knows, maybe spring time will be time for a

“Spring Fling!?” Choose what type of dance you’d like to

host. Formal, casual or themed? What will be your theme? i.e. Grandview

DECA chose Masquerade Ball for this year. Determine a date for this dance. Request a Facility Request and a fundraiser

one or any other paperwork needed to allow you to have it at your school.

Delegate roles on who will take what role and get the fundraiser going! Be sure to use all outlets to advertise your dance!

Have questions? Contact Taylor Ebbelaar, COO of Grandview DECA at [email protected].

Get your EPICNESS on and make money for your chapter while having fun!
