Now in its 51st year, the Loaned Executive Program is a unique professional
development opportunity for Geelong employees looking to further their
career and give back to our community.
Each year the Loaned Executive team play a pivotal role in the success of the
Foundation’s Workplace Giving Program, ensuring that our 200 participating businesses and close to
4,000 donors are thanked and updated on the need in our community.
The Loaned Executive Program provides:
A fantastic opportunity to network! Meet like minded business professionals and gain exposure to a range of organisations within the
Geelong and G21 region
Professional Development Skills including public speaking, sales techniques and team work
as well as an overall growth in confidence
Awareness of the issues affecting the Geelong and G21 community, including the iconic Seeing Is
Believing Tour and in-training presentations
With an alumni of over 1,500 past participants, this iconic program is a
must have on your resume!

Grant Review Panel - Information Sessions A 1hr information session about the Foundation’s Grant Review Process.
Cynthia Scherer our Grants and Community Impact Manager will explain the
Foundation’s Grant Making process. You will be allocated 3-4 grant applications
and asked to provide your feedback and recommendations.
29 - 31 May Group times to
be negotiated
from 5.00pm
Grant Review Panel - Group Review Meetings Meet with 5-6 other reviewers (who read the same grants as you did) to discuss any
questions or concerns you may have. Following these meetings, you will be asked to
submit your final feedback and recommendations.

Loaned Executive Program - Training Day 1 The iconic Seeing Is Believing tour sees participants visit three of the Foundation’s
Community Partners to see Workplace Giving contributions in action!
Following lunch we will delve into the history and structure of the Foundation, the
growing need in our region and some skill building activities.

Loaned Executive Program - Training Day 2 In our second day, we’ll hear from a panel of different community partners, then
dive into the world of public speaking! Cate Schreck from Lightbulb Training
Solutions will build your confidence and give you essential public speaking tips!
Grants Announcement & Campaign Launch The official announcement of the 2017 Grant Round and the launch of the 2017-2018
fundraising year.

Mon, Tues or Wed 4.30pm - 5.30pm
Presentations Each participant will be allocated 3-5 organisations to present to. These times are to
be negotiated between both parties.
Team Meetings Held each fortnight on weeks starting 31 July, 14 & 28 August, teams come together
to support each other and ensure that each participant is on track to reach their
individual goals. These meetings will be paired with short presentations from Give
Where You Live Foundation staff, community partners and Cate from Lightbulb
Training Solutions.
14 September 5.30pm - 7.30pm
‘That’s a Wrap’ Cocktail Party A celebration of the 2017 Loaned Executive group's achievements where participants
are presented in front of their peers and managers or CEOs.
