The Academy of Sciences had the idea of a organizational unification of the Court library, the court museums, and the Haus-, Hof- and Staatsarchiv

Plan was not successfull

The plans for the new Ringstraße included a building for a Reichsarchive (1857).

But it was never built on the Ringstraße Beda Dudik from Moravia developed a new plan for

the archival organisation of the monarchy He wanted a General State Archive which should be

open for scientists, not only open for te legislation and administration of the monarchy

All state archives of all provinces of the monarchy should be organised under the same professonal standards

Each archivist should have had academic training and education

The state should provide enough money for archives so that they have the possibility to buy endangered archives

The destruction (cassation) of files in the agencies should need the approval of the central commission
