Impressed by the monumentality of the Andes mountains, I sought to create a simultaneously standardized and unique building system that through contrast would ehance the natural grandeur of the mountains.

Visual studies of the temporal structure of spider webs and their relationship attaching to or hanging of their more permanent surroundings.

Mapping Analysis of the Rio Maipo and its surroundings. 1) Santiago and surrounding communities with highways removed. 2) Highways connecting the communities included. 3) Terrain.

Project Good Food revolved around creating a building with a unique technological facade related to sustainability. I chose to create a system of fog nets that fed a green wall in order to highlight San Franciscos unique water issues. The program included a food bank and space for a farmers market, oce and education spaces, an ampitheater, a garden, and a research lab.

Sather Tower is the icon of the Berkeley campus. It represents the infl uence of the university and embodies virtues it holds dear. A new intervention to make its base universally accessible is a high priority because it continues Berkeley’s ambitions of inclusivity and progress. The new Sather Tower Museum achieves a high level of accessibility by focusing the design on inclusivity and am-plifi es the best attributes that already exist in the tower.

The western, lower lawn is the site of the new entrance up to the existing esplanade and tow-er lobby. This entrance takes advantage of the site’s topography by burying itself into the plaza, preserving the historic upper plaza. The western lawn is the site of a larger landscaping work that makes the hill more universally accessible. Spaces for resting and meeting were added so that the path that behaves like a plaza to the new entrance.
