    T Guild o Cadallo

    The guilds of Cadwallon were all created for the same reason tocontrol and run the different industries found in the city:

    T Guild o Blad claims to have beenestablished by the same mercenaries who foundedthe city of Cadwallon. Its shops are the only ones

    given the privilege to sell weapons.

    The heart and soul of organized crime, theGuildo Ti regulates smuggling, burglaries, andother acts of larceny.

    T Guild o Uurr runs the citys underground.It controls any criminal activity not associatedwith the Guild of Thieves.

    All transportation is under the control of theGuildo Frrym shipowners, cartdrivers, coachmen,caravan drivers and the assassins who left the

    Guild of Thieves because of financial disagreements.

    Th Guild of Fortuntllrs gathers fortunetellers,illuminators, heraldists, clairvoyants, astrologers, and

    the famous tarotmages, whose sorceries come fromenchanted cards.

    During the Resolution Phase, players determine who wins eachStake. Here the Stake is a Barhan Sword. The Main Arcanum isSwords, with a value of4. The Guild of Ferrymen has a total of5Swords (3 for Crossbowman+2 from Funeral). The Guild ofUsurers only has 3 Swords (from Ple).

    The Guild of Ferrymen player takes the Barhan Sword and placesit on his Discard Pile, along with his two Agents. The Guild ofUsurers player must do the same with her Agent card because theStake card has been won.

    Note that ifCrossbowman was not present, neither guild wouldhave enough Swords (2 and 3), so the Barhan Sword and bothAgents would remain in the District.

    exampl: Bribig a Proality

    Dame Ayane, please accept this Barhan sword, which is as sharp as yourtalent. The master of Ferrymen would love to meet you to entrust you

    with a mission.

    The Guild of Ferrymen and the Guild ofUsurers are competingfor Ayane. On previous turns, the Guild of Ferrymens player placedMerchant of the Kraken" and Funeral next to that Stake card.

    On this turn, he plays Barhan Sword on Funeral to attempt tobribe Ayane. He adds the Arcanum value of all Agents that matchesAyanes Main Arcanum (in this case the Sword) to the Ducat value

    of the Barhan Sword. This gives a total of7 (1 from the Merchantof the Kraken+2 from Funeral+4 from theBarhan Sword).

    This is equal to the Ducat value of Ayane (7).The Guild of Ferrymen's player has won the Stake and immediatelymoves Ayane to his Discard Pile, along with his two Agents andthe Barhan Sword. The Guild ofUsurers player must also discardPle" and the next Stake card in that District is turned faceup.

    The mood of the Harlequinchanges as fast as the price ofbread. You can never knowif hell speak to you or laughat you for no reason.

    guild can only count one type of Arcana. The highest total Arcanumvalue wins the Harlequin.

    The Guild of Ferrymen has a total of5Cups (3 forFuneral+2 forthe Merchant of the Kraken).

    The Guild ofUsurers has a total of 6 Staves (thanks to theGreat Treasurer).

    The Guild ofUsurers has the highest total Arcana value and winsthe Harlequin Stake card.

    Uig t harlqui:The Harlequins Arcana values match the values of any otherAgent in the same District. When the District is resolved, the playerwho owns the Harlequin chooses one other Agent in that District.

    The Harlequins Arcana values are equal to that Agents Arcana.
