Assess Panduit's Arc Flash Service starts with a comprehensive review of your environment. Data collected includes transformer data (e.g. KVA, voltages, and impedance), electric utility information, conductor sizes and length, and fuse/circuit over current protection information on all equipment per IEE 1584. This data is used to develop a computer model of your distribution system, including short circuit analysis, protective device coordination analysis, protective device interrupt rating analysis, and the arc ash hazard analysis, once the utility data is received.

Implement The Arc Flash Safety Service culminates with the presentation of a report that will clearly explainin detail:

• Dangerous and potentially disruptive arc fl ash hazards

• Prohibited shock approach boundary procedures for components at each energy source location

• Device coordination to ensure that the device closest to the fault opens in the least amount of time, enhancing reliability

• Panduit’s remediation recommendations

• Personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements

The report will provide a plan view or digital pictures of the power distribution system, one-line power diagrams, and categorized hazard mitigation recommendations and plans.

Panduit will ensure that all arc ash hazards are labeled and indicate information on the speci c parameters of the hazard including:

• Available short-circuit current

• Flash protection boundary

• Incident energy at 18" expressed in cal/cm2

• PPE required

• Voltage shock hazard

• Restricted shock approach boundary

• Label color coding following ANSI Color Standards

Train Electrical safety training is available as a companion to the Arc Flash Safety Service or as a standalone service offering. Panduit Advisory Services can help ensure personnel are trained and quali ed for their roles and responsibilities and that proper procedures, tools and resources are available to perform work safely.

New-hire training and periodic re-training services are also available to verify that employees understand and are complying with established processes and procedures.

Panduit takes into account regulatory standards and evolving trends, leveraging industry best practices and insights from other engagements to help improve safety in your workplace.
