e.g : Don’t drink the milk! ل تشرب الحليب: أنت

ل تشربي: أنت

Don’t go to work! ل تذهب إلى: أنت

العمل : أنت

ل تذهبي إلى العمل

أ ، و ، يأ ، و ، ي is letters is letters **حروف العلة حروف العلة

If the present tense verb ends with a letter from حروف أنت will be omitted when used in the حرف العلة the *العلة form.

Remove the ن in the أنت form.

E.g : Don’t run! تجر لتجري ل

Don’t forget! تنس ل

تنسي لDon’t invite the boy! الولد تدع ل

Command Verbs Command Verbs ( (فعل المرفعل المر(( Used to command someone to do a certain action. Used only to the second person. Changed from a present tense verb using the ‘2+1’ step :

1ST Step – Remove the 1st letter of الفعل المضارع (either a ( أ،ن،ي،ت

جلس------------ جلس ي

2nd Step – Put a سكون to the last letter

سجل------------ س جل If after the 2nd step the word is not readable then add this next step :

3rd Step – Add ألف to the beginning

جلسا----------- جلس

If the حركة of the third letter is a ضمة the ,ألف should be read with a ضمة Otherwise, it is always read with a .كسرة

If a verb is readable after placing a سكونthere is then no need to add the 3 ,rd step

E.g : شاهد ---------- شاهد --------- يشاهدضع ----------- ضع ------------ يضع :

If the present tense verb ends with a حروف العلة , the 2nd step will be the deletion of the حرف العلة

E.g : اجر ---------جر -------- جري ----------- يجريادع ----------دع ----------- دعو -------- يدعو :انس ---------- نس ----------- نسى --------- ينسى :

For أنت , u need to add a ياء preceded by a كسرة at the end of the أنت form.
