Hello!Come to Al-Wāha and experience the richness and diversity

of classical and colloquial Arabic dialects and cultures. This

Village is for young people who love the

mystery and history of northern Africa

and the Middle East. Learn to read

and write modern standard Arabic

and meet people who will teach

you the Arabic of their everyday

conversations, tailored for your

songs, making new friends and enjoying

new experiences at every turn.

good company: there are

more than 300 million

Arabic-speaking people

worldwide, and it is one of

the six official languages of

the United Nations.

Life at Al-Waha

Life at Al-Wāha is infused with Arabic. Counselors from the United States and Arabic-speaking countries engage in real-life language use with villagers and share experiences using vocabulary, repetition, and actions to increase understanding and retention.
