THE AQUATIC TOXICITY WORKSHOP (ATW) ATW is Canada’s major annual meeting in the field of aquatic toxicology and related disciplines. It provides the opportunity to share information on current and emerging topics of regional, national and international importance related to water quality. Participants include students, academics, government scientists and regulators, environmental consultants and industry representatives. ATW 2011 IN WINNIPEG Winnipeg has been described as the “cultural cradle of Canada” and offers an array of talented artists, significant architecture, award-winning musicians and athletes, and legendary festivals and cultural events. The city is a short distance away from hundreds of lakes, and so has a long history of concern for aquatic resources. ATW 2011 AT THE WINNIPEG FORT GARRY HOTEL One of the city’s most recognizable structures and a national historic site, The Fort Garry Hotel, Spa & Conference Centre has defined the Winnipeg skyline for over 90 years. Situated in downtown Winnipeg, The Fort Garry is just minutes away from all major attractions and within easy walking distance of a wide variety of restaurants, including several at the historic Forks Market at the junction of the Red and Assiniboine Rivers. Conference events will be held in the newly renovated Grand Ballroom of the Fort Garry Place.
