Warranty
Our bath products are guaranteed for a period of twelve months from the date of commissioning.
All parts are covered against defects that may arise as the result of faulty materials, inferior workmanshipor construction.
The baths are not covered for any problems that may arise from the installation or site planning unlesscarried out by engineers from Abacus Healthcare Services Ltd.
Any consequence arising from unskilled or incorrect handling of the product is not covered by thisguarantee.
The following items, when supplied by Abacus Healthcare Services Ltd are guaranteed for a periodof twelve months from the date of supply for the parts only (labour costs are not covered).
• Taps and mixers
• Shower hoses, shower heads and shower brackets.
• Flexible pipes including waste outlet, hot and cold supply.
Hot and cold taps and mixer taps are proprietary fittings and as such carry a standard manufacturer’swarranty.
Note: Thermostatic mixing valves must be adjusted for the appropriate discharge temperature bythe installer. These require regular maintenance for which Abacus engineers are available.
• Electrical
All electrical components fitted to Aquanova baths are CE marked to comply with current EuropeanStandards.
Electrical items must not be replaced with alternative components without the authorisation of AbacusHealthcare Services Ltd.
Failure to obtain such authorisation will exempt the Company from any liability to action for further failure.

Safety Instructions
Always ensure the equipment is operated by trained staff.
Regularly clean the bath using non-abrasive cleaners.
Always ensure the mains electricity is switched on.
Always have the equipment serviced regularly (see Service Level Agreement).
Always keep users hands away from moving parts.
Always ensure the shower head is returned to it’s holder when not in use.
Never use the bath for any purpose other than that it has been designed.
Never leave the bath with the platform in a raised position.
Never allow other equipment such as hoists to contact the bath forcibly as this may cause damage.
Never allow items such as the shower head to remain beneath platform when raising the bath.
Whirlpool use and safety
Ensure you have a minimum of 50mm of water above the highest jet before switching on your whirlpool.
Check, especially after the children have used the bath, that they have not pushed small toys or otherobjects into the jets or suction fitting.
Check regularly that all debris is cleared from around the suction fitting.
Switch off your whirlpool at the RCCB after use.
Ensure that adequate access is left for maintenance and servicing.
Do not switch on your whirlpool without any water in the bath since this will damage the whirlpool pump.
Do not use large amounts of standard bubble bath in the water since this will fill the room with soapbubbles.
Do not run unmixed hot water directly on to the suction fitting.
Do not let anything cover the suction fitting during use, especially you.
Do not try to put your finger in a jet whilst the whirlpool is working.
Do not leave children unattended in the bath with the whirlpool system switched on.
Do not wash your hair in a bath fitted with a whirlpool system when the system is working.
Do not wash animals in a bath fitted with a whirlpool system.
Do not modify your whirlpool in any way. This would result in the guarantee becoming invalid and couldresult in the system becoming dangerous.
Maintenance
After each use: Dissolve a sterilising tablet into the bath water prior to sending the water to waste.Clean the bath and fittings using a soft cloth and non abrasive cleaner with anti-bacterial agent.
Monthly: Whirlpool sanitisation using Abacus Healthcare approved cleaner.
Annually: Servicing by an approved company in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

Operating Instructions
1. To close the pop up waste rotate the chrome turn handle clockwise until the wasteplug locates in the outlet (fig. 2).
2. With the bath in the lowered position fill thebath with water to your required level.
3. Check the temperature of the water.
4. Set the bath level at the height appropriate fortransfer of the bather (as low as possible for anambulant transfer or raised to allow access for aportable hoist) (fig. 3).

5. Allow/assist the bather to transfer into thebath.
6. Raise the bath, full of water, by pressing and
holding the icon on the membrane padon the bath rim (fig. 5).
7. When bathing is completed lower the bath to
the position as in 4, for easy transfer (ambulant
or hoist) by pressing and holding the icon
on the membrane pad on the bath rim (fig. 6).
8. Allow/assist the bather to transfer out of thebath (see transfers - fig. 4).
9. Assist to towel dry/dress the bather.
10. Empty the bath using the pop up waste turning handle.
10. Make the bath ready for the next bather (clean, disinfect etc).

Service Level Agreement
As the manufacturer of your bath we are able to offer a unique range of services, which, due to themodular construction of the bath will extend the working life of the bath and provide a cost effectivesolution to protect your investment by offering the prospect of upgrading your bath to the latestspecification.
Abacus Service Plans
There are three foundation plans, which can be added to or modified to personalise service cover to meetthe needs of the individual customer. They are based on an evergreen contract, which will be renewedautomatically so that cover is always in place.
Minimum Cover
Recommended: Where the usage is relatively low and bathing facilities whilst important are not critical ona daily basis.
Comprises:
• Includes one full service visit each year
• Cover available Mon – Fri, 09:00 to 17:00
• All labour costs for the pre-planned service
• All consumable costs for service
• All travel to and from site
• 10% discount on list price of Engineer Call out, Labour & Parts
• Supplying Certificate of Maintenance
• Supply of LOLER Certificate where type requires this test
• Priority response
Does not include:
• Emergency call out response time
• Non consumable parts
• Time limited repair
• Agreed contract KPI’s
• Out of hours contact numbers
Standard Cover
Recommended: Where the bath has regular usage of up to 4 times daily. Although it may not be the onlybathing facility its loss could compromise client or patient care.
• Includes two full service visits each year
• All labour costs for the pre-planned services
• All consumable costs for both services
• Unlimited breakdown cover for labour
• Unlimited breakdown cover for parts (includes 1 off like for like tap replacement)
• Engineer call out
• All travel to and from site
• Supplying Certificate of Maintenance
• Supply of LOLER Certificate where type requires this test
• Priority response given to contract customers over non- contract customers
• Guaranteed call out response within 5 working days
• Guaranteed fix within 10 days
• Option of 4 year contract with a new bath includes 1 new shell
• Option of 4 year contract with a new bath includes 2 replacement like for like tap units
• Option of 4 year contract with a new bath includes up to 4 off replacement panels even for damage caused by misuse and/or accident
Comprehensive Cover
Recommended: Where the bath has regular usage of over 4 times daily. It may be the only bathing facilityand its loss could compromise significantly client or patient care. In this situation where the bath must beavailable at all times comprehensive cover brings peace of mind as well as extending the life of the bath.
Service as for Standard Cover plus:
• On request refresher training for staff twice per annum
• Service call out available Mon – Fri, 08:00 to 18:00
• Guaranteed emergency call out response within 16 working hours
• Guaranteed supply and repair fix within 5 working days
• Failure to meet agreed call out KPI refunds the equivalent of one weeks service plan
• Failure to meet agreed repair fix KPI refunds 5% of contract price up to 50% of total service plan price.
• Option of emergency call out service available 0800 to 22009
Locking Devices
Bath Locking Device
1. All Aquanova baths with a Membrane Keypadhave a lock sequence to prevent unauthoriseduse.
2. To lock the bath, press the two locking keyssimultaneously (fig. 7).
3. Check the lock sequence is set by trying tooperate the bath.
4. To unlock the bath, press the two locking keysagain simultaneously.
5. Check that the bath is operating by pressingthe icon.
