The next step is to list all the items you wouldlike to have in your bathroom: shower, bath,hand basin, W/C, bidet, furniture pieces andstorage units, mirror, towel rail, etc. Obtainmeasurements of all these items and then addthem to your plan. Once you have positioned your furniture on theplan you will be able to take finalmeasurements of the runs of furniture andwork out what size of countertop you will need.

Finally you can think about accessories. One ofthe most important things to consider islighting. Aquadi offers a number of bathroomlighting options which are all IP regulated. Youcould choose LED Chrome Spotlights set into aflyover shelf, or flexible LED strip lightingunderneath wall units. The illuminated mirrorsare a ‘must have’ for any contemporarybathroom.

To begin with take an accurate measurementof your bathroom. Check the height from thefloor to window sill to make sure that baseunits will fit underneath the window.

Check the dimensions and positions ofwindows, doors and any other obstructions,e.g. radiators, towel rails, soil and vent pipesand light switches, as these will determine thelayout of your bathroom.

Transfer your room dimensions on to graphpaper so that you can produce a scale drawing(use 1:10 or 1:20 scale). Mark the position ofany waste pipes, soil pipes and incoming watersupplies. The location of plumbing affectseverything else, so this must be highlighted atthe start. Remember though that the beauty offully fitted bathroom furniture is that yourbathroom can be designed to completelyconceal unsightly pipework .

Always remember to allow for

filler panels between a fitted

unit and a wall. This prevents

the unit door handle clashing

against the wall and makes

certain that the run of furniture

will fit into your chosen space

The bathroom can often be one of the smallestrooms in the house, so if space is an issue or you areplanning a cloakroom you may like to considerreduced depth bathroom furniture.

Side Bath Bulkhead

The side bath bulkheads are designed to extend a run of units.

Base Units

Use corner unit (code: CBC605). The corner unit needs to beoffset 55mm from the wall. The adjacent unit needs to beoffset 335mm from this wall.

Wall Units

Units should be offset 235mm minimum. Repositioning thecorner post on the blanking panel will allow a maximum offsetof 385mm.

Alternatively, the base/corner open shelf (CBGLOS605) can bepulled out the full 320mm, in which case the 320mm cornerpost/blanking panel (CBOSBCP) is fixed to the side of thebase/corner open shelf.

Back Bath Bulkhead

The back bath bulkhead is designed for cutting to the requiredsize on site and is supplied with a white MFC fascia panel fortiling on site.
