The second edition of our 2010 catalog is a combination of all the updated and

new products we have been working on since late last year. The culmination

of a major push in engineering and tooling programs have resulted in a whole

new line of skimmers, return fittings, wall and deck jets and an array of other

innovative products. We are constantly striving for perfection in all of our

exclusively American-made products. The feedback we are getting from our

customers is extremely positive and they really love using our products. Our

VGB 2008 series of products has been a huge success and we will continue our

efforts with a much broader selection of commercial drains for the fall.

We are proud to introduce our ProStar line of products. This platform of products

will have its own catalog and will be a complete line of Genuine American

Replacement Parts. We are starting off with some of your favorite cleaner

components and will continue with a whole array of pump and filter parts

as well. As always we will continue to push the envelope in creating useful and

All drain covers and sumps are tested at nationally recognized testing lab (NRTL)

IAPMO Research and Testing to exceed industry standards.

Testing

Our Product Testing

Continuous Compliance. AquaStar prides itself on being routinely inspected by IAPMO, R&T this verifies comformity to VGB!

UV Exposure. All test drains endure a 32-day UV conditioning test prior to all strength tests using Q lab UV154 test.

Strength/Impact Test. Impact and flex tests immediately follow conditioning cycle.

Hair Entrapment Test. Ponytail and full head of hair tests are required for both floor and wall.

Body Entrapment Test. New for ASME/ANSI A112.19.8a-2008, requires different size body blocking elements for respective suction outlets.

Fasteners Test. Superior #316 marine grade fasteners and "in-mold" threaded insert technology.

Finger Probe Test. All sizes of fingers are taken into account with the UL Articulate Probe test.

NOTE: The above color codes are to determine approximate manufacturing date by year only. They also

aid inspectors in quickly determining that the installed cover is VGB compliant and approximately how

old it is from deckside. The exact date of manufacture by month can be found as a date stamp on the

underside of the drain cover.

For compliance with the ASME A112 Standard, AquaStar has determined that all covers and screws need

to be replaced every five years from date of installation. The facility owner should keep records.
