ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES MAIN ROLE: TEAM PLAYER UNLOADING FUEL AHC THROUGH JETTY STATION

Unloading for Arabian high speed crude oil through jetty station were crude oil ships came and unloading crude oil to power plant side storage tanks having capacity of tank is 110534M3.

2. Responsible for safe and reliable Field operation of 1020 MW Thermal Power Plant. Plant startup, running & shutdown sequences.

3. Taking care of all locations in a shift by constant watch of equipment and system parameters. In case of abnormal / defects informing to plant controller and shift Supervisor and taking corrective measures in accordance with the laid down procedure.

4. Performing daily scheduled activities like Turbine valve stem freedom test, NRV test, Turbine Protective device test, Turbine Lube oil pumps auto backup test etc.

5. Performs troubleshooting and documentation and assists in the resolution of problems discovered during the shift.

6. Preparation of Defect reports, carry out Isolation of the equipments to issue PTW for planned & emergency maintenance and normalizations of the system after cancellation of the PTW.

7. Ensure safety compliance of self and others. Follow safety rules and ensure close adherence to the Safety, Environment & Quality requirements.

8. Weekly trial of plant Equipments, Change over and Condition monitoring.

Steam Turbine: MITSUBISHI Make 340MW X 3 units, Two Cylinder, Tandem-Compound, Double Exhaust, and Condensing reheat type Steam Turbine.

Boiler: MITSUBISHI Make, Forced Circulation Boiler , 1080 t/h (MCR), 172.6 bar X 541 deg.c (SH) X 541 deg.c (RH), Feed water condition 255 deg.c (MCR), Fuel used: Crude Oil, Draft System: Forced Draft.

Operation of Intake System, De-mineralization plant, Chlorination Plant, Fire protection system, Air compressors, Tube Cleaning System and EDG.

Organization : RABIGH POWER PLANT, 360MW, 1230 t/h net

Duration : APRIL 2000 TO NOVEMBER 2008

Working Description:

1. Comply with safety rules and regulations. Be familiar with the fire equipments in his area. Follow the instructions of the Shift Supervisor and CCR Operator.

2. Coordinate with the Shift Supervisor and with other Operators in regard to all activities that affect them. Monitor all parameters and enter periodic readings on log sheets. Summarize all activities/events that took place during his shift in the log book.

3. Inspect the area and auxiliaries during the shift to make sure that all equipment parameters are within limits, Report abnormalities to the CCR Operator and Shift Supervisor.

4. Perform equipment change over according to preset schedules. Raise work requests or defect notes for faulty equipment.

5. Coordinate with Shift supervisor for isolating and lining up the equipments and system before and after maintenance. Maintain a tidy work area and ensure clean up after maintenance work.

6. Assist in the training and familiarization of new local operators.

7. Follow standard procedures.

8. Use proper PPEs and implement prescribed risk controls

1. Maintain record of everyday readings for all compressors and processing equipments and ensure optimal level of production.

4. Maintain all boiler operations safely and manage all power consumption.

5. Perform troubleshoot to identify and resolve all issues efficiently and assist to read all meters and gauges at regular intervals.

6. Maintain record of all data from equipments such as operation, fuel consumed and all voltage bases.

7. Manage all rotational shifts and assist to reassemble all machines and complete all maintenance work.
