FFA Students Qualify for Districts!

The Ozark High School Junior ROTC Drill Team was one of eleven Drill Teams to represent the 3rd Brigade, United States

Army Cadet Command at the Army Nationals Drill Competition on Saturday, April 9, 2016. There are eight Brigades within

Cadet Command. In the 3rd Brigade there are ten states; Missouri, Kansas, South

Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Upper Michigan, Wisconsin, and Illinois.

Within these states are 119 Army Junior ROTC programs. To compete against the oth-

er ten teams from the 3rd Brigade and top teams from the other seven Brigades is

quite an honor and our drill team is looking forward to the competition.

The Army Nationals was held indoors at the Kentucky International

Convention Center (KICC) in Louisville, KY. Competition was very tuff this year!

We still managed to place 2nd in Armed Color Guard, 3rd in Unarmed Dual

Exhibition and 5th in Platoon Unarmed Exhibition. Our Cadets did a great job!

The following students placed at DECA State and qualified to compete at the International Career Development Conference in Nashville, TN. Finishes 2nd at State!

Rebekah Harensveld, Patrick Heslip, Martin Granja, and Daniel Lyu finished In 2nd place in Personal Finance at the MCEE State Personal Finance Competition. All 4 students received $250 for College Tuition!
