Kiwi Kid SponsorshipTogether we can level the playing field and give all Kiwi kids a good start in

life. Create brighter futures today by sponsoring a disadvantaged child.Help Kiwi kids from your community by sponsoring a child through Variety. Your monthly donation will help toprovide a disadvantaged New Zealand child with the basics that their family is unable to afford. Yoursponsored child will receive essentials that they would otherwise go without, like home basics, schoolstationery, doctors visits, books, prescriptions and extra-curricular activities like school trips. How do you ensure the child is disadvantaged? We work with schools and social services agencies to receive referrals of children who are financiallydisadvantaged. The parents/caregivers are then required to complete an application and agree to Varietyscode of conduct. Varietys Grant Committee then reviews the application to ensure the fa mily meet stringentcriteria including income levels. Why havent I heard ofVariety's Kiwi Kid Sponsorship Programme before? It's new. During 2012 we undertook a research project involving our supporters, members of the public, schools, doctors, community organisations and various government ministries to identify issues facingtoday's Kiwi kids. Overwhelmingly we were told about the growing divide between the 'have'and the 'havenots'- Kiwi Kid Sponsorship is Variety's response to addressing this issue. Following a successful trialprogramme we are now officially launching Kiwi Kid Sponsorship.

Birthright Taupo Inc is now able to apply to the Kiwikid Sponsorship Fund

on your behalf. To find out if you are eligible and meet the criteria please

1 teaspoon curry powder1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauceWater (or beef stock) as required cup peas

Method:1. Heat the oil in a frying pan and saut the onion andgarlic on medium to low heat taking care not to burn thegarlic.2. Add the diced carrot and celery and tomato paste andincrease the heat.3. Add the mince and cook with the vegetables forapproximately 5 minutes.4.
