In Loving Memory: Tracy A. Tanyi, age 41, of
Olean, New York, unexpectedly died on Monday, December
2, 2019. Tracy and her husband, Nick, were just delighted to
welcome their baby son, Cooper, three weeks before.
Tracy was a kind, thoughtful, generous person who
was known to her family, friends, Bethany Lutheran Church
family where our club meets, and to the community as a
person who would step up to minister to others without being
asked. That is how I came to know Tracy as president of
the Cattaraugus County RBA. Tracy helped our treasurer
(and her best friend), Tammy Aaron, audit our club’s books.
Yet, Tracy did not want to just stay behind the scenes. She
told Tammy, “I think I can help by being part of this group.”
Though Tracy had not yet shown rabbits, she volunteered to help prepare and organize our
show’s raffle table. She said, “Tammy, I will come and help you. I have no problem helping.” She
soon became an ARBA member. When I needed to appoint a new club secretary, Tracy gladly took it
on. That’s when she became my right-hand woman. We know how complex it can be to run a club
and put on a rabbit show. Tracy followed through with helping me anytime I needed her, kept club
records and minutes, and worked for hours with Tammy doing administrative tasks.
Tracy was the ideal kind of rabbit club member. She stayed true to CCRBA without complaints,
adding much goodness instead. Tracy helped keep the cool in our club and in any situation. I will
never forget the look in her eyes of complete calm and confidence. She presented at our last meeting
the Easy2Show online show entry program with the intention of being our 2020 show secretary. The
day Tracy died, she and Tammy had planned to do some club paperwork together.
Tracy got her family involved in CCRBA also. She bought her young son, William, a rabbit to
show and helped teach him. Her husband, Nick, was recruited to become a director. After Tracy
welcomed two teenage step sons, Dylan and Mason, into her family after their mother died last
January, Tracy included them as well. Tracy made sure her family was there for CCRBA to load,
unload, setup, load, and unload show equipment, as well as stay all day helping at the secretary and
awards tables and cleaning up our carpeted mall showroom.
As I looked forward to visiting Tracy and Nick to celebrate the birth of Cooper, I received the
grievous news and tearfully attended Tracy’s funeral instead. While there, my CCRBA treasurer,
Tammy, kindly introduced me for the first time to Tracy’s parents, Earl and Wendy, stepson, David,
son, Chad, Tracy’s “adopted son,” Mike (Chad’s friend), a brother, Eric, and nephews, Neil and
Hunter. I could see the mark Tracy left on them all. Sadly, Tracy missed seeing Chad’s twin boys—
her grandbabies—Jaxston and Wayne. This precious family would appreciate your prayers as they
face life without this beautiful woman. Her loss leaves a grievous emptiness in a family that was so
loved and tended to by her. Tracy’s life can be summed up with a church t-shirt she wore to a club
work day….LIVE GENEROUSLY. That is what Tracy did! She made a difference in this world for the
better and left a legacy in the hearts of many!

As a nearly 76-year-old club, we’ve had a huge history and a lot to celebrate.
Because of rabbit enthusiasts like you and the hard work of many volunteers, CCRBA
has enjoyed decades of successful shows. Thank you SO much!
For the first time in New York, CCRBA is using an online
entry system called Easy2Show. You may have seen it advertised in ARBA’s
Domestic Rabbits magazine over the past several months. Our late secretary, Tracy
Tanyi, presented this program to us last fall at her last CCRBA meeting. We are taking
her legacy of that project and making it happen. I’d like to thank Samantha Sessaman
for taking on that and being show secretary… and thank Mandy Goodell for stepping
into Tracy’s position as club secretary. And so, our club is dedicating this 2020 show to
Tracy …and I would also like to honor Tracy’s local family members who have
continued as CCRBA members: Husband, Nick, and sons Dylan, Mason, William, and
(future rabbit show kid) baby Cooper.

Judging for Show A will start at 9:00 AM with Show B to follow.
Youth breeds show first, followed by Open breeds at the same table unless
otherwise indicated.
Lunch Break is scheduled for 12:00 noon (or as close as possible).

Judging will resume ½ hour after judge leaves for lunch to make sure they get
a break.

BEST IN SHOW A & B judging will happen at the conclusion of both shows.
Note: As per ARBA rules, rabbits entered in Youth MUST be placed on the judging table by a youth. If
an adult places the rabbit on the table, it will be disqualified (except for approved handicap
arrangements). Youth exhibitors do not have to carry their own animals to the table, but a youth must put
the animal on the table.

Day of Show Procedures
• Check the catalog for times when you must have your animals checked in and check show
table boards for where your breed will be shown. Listen for loudspeaker announcements for
breed starts.
• CCRBA reserves the right to change breed tables.
• Online Entry Exhibitors/Competitors: Your Check-in sheet is available to print from the link
sent in email from either [email protected] or [email protected] (check your spam
folder). You will also receive one from the show secretary upon registration.
•Mailed-in Entry Exhibitors: Your Check-in Sheet will be given to you by the show secretary.
• Proof read your Check-in Sheet. If there is a question on ear number, variety, sex, make
sure to resolve the issue BEFORE bringing the animal to the table.
• SUBSTITUTIONS ($2): Per ARBA rules, these are ear number changes only and must be
done before judging starts. A form will be available at the Secretary’s table to submit these
changes.
• CHANGE IN SEX, VARIETY, or CLASS ($6): Per ARBA rules, this is a Late Entry, not a
substitution. Forms will be available at the Secretary’s table to make late entries.
• ABSOLUTELY NO CHANGES made at the show table will be honored unless to correct
secretarial error or the proper form for substitution or late entry has been submitted at the
secretary’s table.
• It is the exhibitor/competitor’s responsibility to keep track of which table their breed is
judged at, the breed order for that table (watch for changes), and getting their rabbits to the
table as per ARBA rules.
• Order of breed showing is subject to change at the discretion of the show superintendent.
• Breeds assigned to judges is subject to change at the discretion of show superintendent.

SHOW RULES
This show is an official ARBA sanctioned event and will be governed by the current show rules of the American Rabbit
Breeders Association, Inc. The filing of an entry from indicates the acceptance of these rules:
• NO ANIMALS ARE ALLOWED IN THE MALL OTHER THAN DIRECT TRANSFER TO THE SHOWROOM IN
CAGES. This is due to Health Department regulations.
•Exhibitors are Responsible for their fees if they are a no-show.
• No fundraising is allowed by other ARBA or NY State Rabbit and/or Cavy Clubs unless they are CCRBA
sponsored. 4-H kids selling candy bars are welcome!
• All animals must have a permanent and legible ear mark in the left ear. Rabbits will be judged by private ear number.
Please make sure they are legible. Determination of legibility is up to the judge.
• CCRBA will not be responsible for any loss or injury to animals or humans in case of fire, accidents, providential
destruction, insect bites, sunburn, frostbite, acts of nature, etc. Exhibitors and guests assume all risk of entering animals
in the show and being on the property.
• Exhibitors are responsible for getting their animals to and from the table. Breeds will not be re- judged because of
late arrivals. In order not to cause delays, classes will wait no longer than 3 minutes or 3 calls.
• CCRBA reserves the right to substitute judges, staff, officers, awards and change show tables.
• ANYONE causing a disturbance or intimidating a judge or staff will be removed from the showroom and
their entries forfeited.
• There will be no breeding of rabbits in the show room.
• Entry fee must accompany entry or entry will be returned to the exhibitor. Any checks not clearing the bank will be
assessed a $75.00 fee.
• Children must be in the care of an adult to not only ensure their safety but also so they don’t disrupt exhibitors, their
animals, mall business or mall patrons.
• CCBRA reserves the right to ask ANYONE to leave the show area, and yes we do mean ANYONE!.
CCRBA may also choose to refuse entries for cause per ARBA rules.
• No alcoholic beverages in the showroom.
• No smoking in the showroom or the mall.
• Sick animals should NOT be brought into the showroom. Sick animals will be removed from the showroom and
entry fees will be forfeited. Determination of “sick” will be at the discretion of the show superintendent.
• Ribbons and awards must be picked up at the show as they will not be mailed.
• A youth MUST place rabbits for judging on the respective youth judging table. The animal will be disqualified if an
adult places the animal on the table. Exceptions will be granted for disabled youths. Contact the show superintendent
to have exceptions granted.
• Any exhibitor under the age of 5 years must show in OPEN class per ARBA rules.
• Carriers must have leak proof bottoms.
• Carriers, Chairs, Grooming tables, For Sale boards, etc. are to be placed in designated areas only. Walkways will be
indicated and need to remain clear of obstructions.
• Service animals are welcome but should be readily identifiable as such with a vest or harness as required.
• Per ARBA show rules CCRBA reserves the right to refuse entries from exhibitors placing an entry from all locations
within 150 miles which has had a confirmed outbreak of RCV/RHD/VHD within the past 60 days of the entry deadline
REMARK CARDS are not provided by CCRBA or filled out by writers.
With one writer at the table we need their attention focused on the control sheets for accuracy.

due annually by September 1 with a 60-day grace period. The official CCRBA membership list is also put on record with the New
York Rabbit & Cavy Breeders Association (www.NYRCBA.com) and is necessary to be eligible for New York Sweepstakes.
