flowers for Easter Sunday as a memori-

al to or in honor of our loved ones.

offering plate or contact the church

School rooms and on the First Touch table.)

Vacation Bible School

June 9-13, 2014

This year we are partnering with

several local churches for a combined

Vacation Bible School. We will work

together with Trinity Lutheran, Plym-

outh Congregational, and Peace Men-

nonite Churches to coordinate and

celebrate VBS.

The theme is “Workshop of Wonders: Imagine & Build

with God,” and VBS will be in the evenings, June 9-13, 2014

located at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Each evening will begin with a meal for children and par-

ents. The week will conclude with a concert and pot luck pic-

nic at South Park.

The cost is $15/child, $45/family max.

Registration deadline: May 23.

Registration and Volunteer forms will be available soon.

FBC Book Club

The April selection is Slave by Mende Nazer.

This book is an autobiography about a wom-

an who, at the age of 12, was seized from her

village in Sudan and sold into slavery. It is a

revealing book about the continuing prob-

lem of human trafficking in our present age.

Discussion: April 14 at 7:00 pm, church library.

The May selection is The Case for the

Psalms, by N. T. Wright. This book is

a study of the Psalms as a guide for

how to worship, pray and live. Unfor-

tunately it is not available at the Law-

rence library, but there are several

copies in the Johnson County public library system. Discus-

sion: May 12, at 7:00 pm., church library.
