As many of us are aware, the Colorado stay-at-home order is scheduled to expire on April 26. But that does not mean that on April 27 the Shrine will be back to full operation. One of the special places the Church has in our society is the bringing together of the secular and the sacred. In this moment, as a Shrine community, let us continue to prayerfully move forward with faith and trust by support- ing our Bishop, his team, and the consultation process. This is a process. A process that takes collaborative efforts of the Church, civic leaders and medical experts. To that end, I would like for you to know that begin- ning on April 27 th the Shrine will continue to operate as we have until we receive further Diocesan directives. Parish Offices remain open for telephone calls Monday- Friday 9:00am-12:00pm (noon); the Church will remain open for private prayer on Fridays 9:00am-12:00pm (noon), and Saturdays 1:00pm-4:00pm, observing the required mandates, e.g., social distancing, no groups larger than 10, mask precautions, etc.; the Wednesday Field Hospital will also remain, along with Confessions on Saturday 3:00-4:00pm or by appointment. Daily and week- end livestreamed Mass on will also continue at this time. Additionally, the Parish bulletin mailing will also resume. Finally, Religious Education and Faith Formation are also continuing to reach out to our parish family. If you or someone you know has not received a phone call from our parish volunteers please call 719-542-1788 so we can update your contact infor- mation. Your current contact information will become increasingly important as we look toward transitioning back to in-person Mass attendance. As the restrictions begin to slowly loosen, we will be paying close attention and implementing the guidelines and directives that will be come from our bishop. As we continue to grow in relationship with Christ and care for one another in this time, it is important that we all understand that even though we will take all prudent and reasonable precautions, and sanitize as best we can, there is still a risk of infection. No one should expect that they will be safer in church than in any other public space. I would like to thank all of you for the warm greetings and the notes you have sent the to the Shrine. I have had an opportunity to read through them personally. I share in your frustration as well as being lifted-up by your faith. I would also like to thank you for your charitable contributions to the Shrine and the Diocesan Ministry Fund. I know that for many this is a financially challenging time, yet in your concern for your Shrine and your awareness that we operate entirely on charitable gifts your generosity has been amazing. Thank you! If you havent yet and would like to be a part of supporting the ministry of the Shrine of St. Therese you can send your contributions directly to the parish office or drop them in the mail slot outside. Or if you would like to donate to the Shrine online you can visit our website and click the yellow donatebutton which will prompt you through the electronic giving options. As we continue to move through this time, thank you for your patience as we desire to safely emerge from this global health crisis with a deeper faith and increased desire to follow Jesus through the Little Way of St. Therese. Thank you for your support, and we will continue to keep you informed during this time of transition. In Christ, Fr. Dear Parishioners of the Shrine:

Thank you for your response to our bulletin mailing and your willingness to remain connected to your Shrine.

As many of us are aware, the Colorado stay-at-home order is scheduled to expire on April 26. But that does not

mean that on April 27 the Shrine will be back to full operation.

One of the special places the Church has in our society is the bringing together of the secular and the sacred. In this moment, as a Shrine community, let us continue to prayerfully move forward with faith and trust by support-ing our Bishop, his team, and the consultation process. This is a process. A process that takes collaborative efforts of the Church, civic leaders and medical experts. To that end, I would like for you to know that begin-

ning on April 27th the Shrine will continue to operate as we have until we receive further Diocesan directives.

Parish Offices remain open for telephone calls Monday- Friday 9:00am-12:00pm (noon); the Church will remain open for private prayer on Fridays

9:00am-12:00pm (noon), and Saturdays 1:00pm-4:00pm, observing the required mandates, e.g., social distancing, no groups larger than 10, mask

precautions, etc.; the Wednesday Field Hospital will also remain, along with Confessions on Saturday 3:00-4:00pm or by appointment. Daily and week-

end livestreamed Mass on will also continue at this time. Additionally, the Parish bulletin mailing will also resume. Finally, Religious Education and

Faith Formation are also continuing to reach out to our parish family.

If you or someone you know has not received a phone call from our parish volunteers please call 719-542-1788 so we can update your contact infor-

mation.

Thank you!

Or if you would like to donate to the Shrine online you can visit our website and click the yellow “donate” button which will prompt you through the electronic giving options.

As we continue to move through this time, thank you for your patience as we desire to safely emerge from this global health crisis with a deeper faith and increased desire to follow Jesus through the Little Way of St. Therese. Thank you for your support, and we will continue to keep you informed during this time of transition.
