CHILDREN & YOUTH DIRECTOR On Sunday, March 15, Glossbrenner’s new Children & Youth
Director, Glinda Johnson-Medland, was introduced to the
congregation. We are thrilled to have Glinda on our staff and
are looking forward to when we can resume full service and
activities, especially for the youth and children. We are hop-
ing and praying that we can be together very soon! Read
more about Glinda on our web site: www.gumcmj.net and
click on “STAFF”.
TITHES & OFFERINGS Even though you are not able to come and give your tithes
and offerings on Sunday, the bills still have a way of showing
up. We continue to have ministry we support, utility bills, pay-
rolls, insurances, apportionments, etc. Please consider mailing
your tithes and offerings to the church (713 Church St., Mount
Joy, PA 17552) or delivering them in person. The office is still
open Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
SUNDAY “WORSHIP” SERVICE VIDEOTAPED Thanks to our tech guys (Andy Ober and Mark Myers), we are
able to worship together on Sunday mornings. Via the video
they tape the day before, Pastor Brian and some others take
part in providing music accompaniment, singing and moral
support! These videos can be viewed on the church web site:
www.gumcmj.net - click on “sermons”; Glossbrenner’s Face-
book page; or GlossbrennerUMC/YouTube.
WEELY EMAILS We are trying to send out weekly emails to keep the Gloss-
brenner church family informed during these difficult times of
being away from each other. If you are NOT receiving these
emails it is probably because we do not have an email ad-
dress for you. Please call the office (717-653-5683)or email:
[email protected] to give us your email address.
WEEKLY EVENTS (Suspended until further notice.) DATES AHEAD Because of the uncertainty of when events can be resumed, we are not printing dates ahead or the April calendar.

BOARD OF TRUSTEES The Trustees would like to improve the
sound and projection system in the Fel-
lowship Hall. The problem is that it is not in
our budget for this year. We need
around $300 for the improvements. If you feel called to
help financially with this project, add your check – or
cash – to the offering. (Place in an envelope marked
“Fellowship Hall”.) Blessings & Thank You!
Pastor Brian and the Trustees
ADOPT A FLOWER BED The Trustees are asking for assistance with weeding the
flower beds around the Church property. Zones have
been identified in order to create smaller, easy to main-
tain areas so the beds can be kept tidy without a lot of
time commitment. Mulch, Preen and other weed sprays
will be purchased and applied by the Trustees. During
the time of church closure due to the Coronavirus, we
will not worry about signing up for zones. Just come out
and help wherever you can. Thank you!
“TRUSTEE OF THE MONTH” During the month of April, if you notice something that
should be taken care of by the trustees, please contact
Jim Miller at 717-653-4654. Thank you Bruce Stone for
your faithful service in March!
SHEPHERDING MINISTRY SHEEP: “When Jesus landed and saw a
large crowd, he had compassion for
them, because they were like sheep with-
out a shepherd.” [Mark 6:34] Would you
like to have one of our shepherds help
you become a more vital and connected
part of our congregation; to have some-
one who will pray for you and be in com-
munication with you; to have someone
who will listen to you and be a one-
person welcoming committee when you
come to worship on Sundays? If this
sounds interesting to you, please contact
Mark Rorabaugh. (717-653-4717)
EVERYONE: If you would like to join the
program and be a shepherd, please con-
tact Mark Rorabaugh or Pastor Brian. The
more shepherds in the program, the more
people in the congregation we can
reach.
I want to express my appreciation for prayers, calls and cards at the time of my eye surgery. And a special thank you to Doug and
Hazel for their visit and the lovely flowers from Caring Hands & Hearts. James Smith

The following is a list of the homebound members - or those living in retirement communities - of our church. A card, phone call, or visit would probably be appre-ciated very much by these people who are unable to attend worship services on
Sunday mornings.
