Watch stand fast in faith be brave be strong Let all you do be done with love

1 Corinthians 1613-14

April Guide

Almighty and everlasting God the comfort of the sad and the strength of those

who suffer let the prayers of your children who cry out in any tribulation come to

you To every soul that is distressed grant mercy grant relief and grant renewal

through Jesus Christ our Lord

We pray to you Almighty God in this time of pandemic and fear Be our strength and refuge our ever present help in

trouble Do not let us lose courage in these trying days Uphold us by your love and give us the strength we need Help

us in our confusion and guide our actions heal the hurt console the bereaved and afflicted protect the innocent and the

helpless and deliver all those who continue to face peril every day on our behalf

Lord Jesus you have overcome the world and all power and authority is yours When the evil seems to triumph give us

the courage and faith we need to never forget that you are with us wherever we go

God of compassion you watch over our ways and out of terrible happenings you weave the wonders of your goodness

and grace Surround those who have been shaken by tragedy with a vivid sense of your love and keep them strong in the

faith Though they are filled with grief may they find you and be comforted in the warmth of your presence

We pray in the name of him who was dead but now lives and rules with you over all creation Amen

We welcome Mrs Abby Gaulke to our teaching staff and

pray that we are a blessing to her as she is to us

Here is a little more information on our new first and second grade teacher

I grew up in Beaver Dam Wisconsin I attended St Stephens Beaver Dam for my entire grade school career I

knew I wanted to teach early on so after grade school I attended Luther Preparatory School While there I met

my husband Jonathan Gaulke who grew up attending here at St Peters I then went on to Martin Luther

College where I got my Bachelors of Science in Education with a Minor in history My first call was to

Immanuel in Waukegan Illinois I started the Day care program down there and taught preschool half day I

coached and helped with art classes I taught there for 9 years While teaching God also blessed my family

with three beautiful girls Annalese who is 11 now Mikaela who is 9 and Victoria who is 6 After teaching I

took a break to take care of my father in law who was sick During this time I served my home congregation

Immanuel in Farmington as Sunday School Director Since January I have been working in the day care here

with Kayla in the mornings and at St Pauls Day care in the afternoons I am grateful for this opportunity to get

back into the ministry and to serve your students here at St Peters Lutheran School

Dear members of St Peterrsquos

Recently I was extended the divine call to serve as your first and second grade teacher Over the

past month I have had the opportunity to speak with many people-- I have had discussions with friends

family and fellow teachers The information I have gathered has been very valuable as I deliberated

Thank you for your prayers and encouragement

After much prayerful deliberation the Lord has led me to accept the call you have extended to me

to serve as your first and second grade teacher I am very excited to begin this work I am deeply

humbled by the opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus to His little lambs at St Peter God has truly

blessed your congregation and I am so very thankful for this opportunity to witnesswork with those

blessings alongside you I ask for your prayers that the Lord give me the strength to serve

Please keep my family in your prayers as we make this transition

Thank you for the trust and confidence you have extended to me through this call to serve your

congregation I look forward to meeting all of you and join you in the work God has blessed us to do

In Christ
