JUNE 2018 • #158 ELK-O-GRAM • Volume 41, Issue 6
Dear Fellow Elks Members,
Summer is here and we are excited to get the festivities
started. The pool is ready and I would like to thank all the
volunteers that made that happen many hours goes into
opening the pool and getting the Tiki Bar ready for the sea-
son.
I would like to thank everyone that came out for the mul-
tiple clean up days the grounds look great and the docks
have been repaired.
I would like to welcome the new members; if you see any
of them around the lodge welcome them and introduce
yourself. If you have been out in the past few weeks you
know that summer is here as all the plants and flowers are
popping up all over and the place looks great.
Ray and Becky have been putting in many volunteer
hours and have taken on this project for years...a big thank
you for that.
Now that we are getting into our busy season I am ask-
ing everyone to bring out a family member or friend and
give them a taste of what Elkdom is all about; what our
lodge has to offer; and give them an application for mem-
bership.
I would like to thank everyone that participated in the
blessing of the boats and the committee that made it hap-
pen. Please be safe this boating season.
We just had our May state convention and I would like to
welcome the new state officers and committees and look
forward to a great year.
Sunday Funday’s are here and we still have openings for
cooking teams. The list of entertainment is posted so come
out, enjoy, and support your lodge.
In closing if you have ideas or concerns please contact
me or one of the officers and we will address it. We are al-
ways looking for new and better ways to get members in-
volved and share their ideas. Thank you.
Fraternally,
Terry A. Ooms ER

ELKS LADIES #158
By Marleen Cooke, President
I want to thank the Elks Ladies’ Hospitality Suite Decorating Committee for volunteering their time and talents for the West Central District’s Hospitali-ty Suite at the State Convention held May 17th through the 20th. The Theme was “PARTY COVE” and it was really well done. With Tammy Gumble leading the way and ideas gen-erated from everyone at each committee meeting which was held every week until the event, it turned out great. Kirk Newenham-PER and Chairman of the Committee, stated that it was the best Hospitality Suite that 158 has ever had. As I stated in the beginning, I am humbled to be associated with this group of strong, intelligent, resourceful women and look forward to all the exciting endeavors of the coming year. Our meetings are held on the first Thursday of every month at 7:00 p.m. and are a great way to meet members of the Lodge and to become active in your community. If you are looking for a way to become involved, to make a differ-ence in your life & the lives of others, we would love to have you come and share any ideas you may have to help us maintain our success as the great Auxiliary we have be-come.
