APRIL 2016 Luke 24:12 then he went home amazed at what had happenedWe are in the time of the Christian Year when we enjoy celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Some of the folks believed it right away and some had to prove it to themselves. Either way, amazement and celebration was the response. They heard, they saw, they believed, and they lived in the victory. As you continue your journey with Jesus, we pray that He would come alive in you and be seen through you. We have opportunities to be a part of something very special as we love Jesus and understand more deeply His love for us. See what God is doing around you and be amazed, celebrate, and communicate with others the realities of Gods victories in your life. APRIL 2016

Luke 24:12 …then he went home amazed at what had happened… We are in the time of the Christian Year when we enjoy celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. See what God is doing around you and be amazed, celebrate, and communicate with others the realities of God’s victories in your life. God will be faithful to complete the work that He has begun among us. We simply need to be obedient, observant, and enjoy the faith journey. Celebrating with you,

Pastor Mike

WORK DAYS AT THE WELL FOR CALVARY

Monthly work days at The WELL are the second Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each month.

April dates are 12, 13 & 14. If you are able to give some of your time between 9:00 and 11:30

AM on any or all of these days, please call Sally Sheaffer at 717-578-1008 or Flo Waybright at

717-225-5933 or just show up at The WELL. There is work to do sitting down as well as stocking

shelves and other tasks.

DONATIONS TO THE WELL

In addition to regularly donating non-perishable food and personal care, household, and baby

items, monetary donations are welcome and help to pay The WELL’s rent. The WELL does not need

egg cartons at this time.

The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have me. (Matthew 26:11)

WE CELEBRATE your generosity to this great organization. We are called not to walk

away in exasperation because there are so many in need, instead we are encouraged to

give all we possibly can as Jesus would. So thank you for heeding the scripture. Goods

continue to pour in and without the generosity of neighbors like you, more would be

hungry. Finally, without our merge in October this wouldn’t be possible, but St. Paul’s

had requested to make one final benevolent gift since they were part of the founding of

The WELL and together we have made a contribution of $5,000 to The WELL which

will help tremendously! Thank you to all who continue to partner through financial and

prayer support. Together we are bringing HOPE to our city.

Youth Retreat For those of you who couldn’t join us, you

missed a great time. We went to Tel Hai in Honeybrook for a great weekend retreat. Our group focused on being a Contagious Christian.

We learned more about how to share the gospel and especially to tell our own stories of

faith. While the learning was helpful we did have time for fun. We played gaga, played some mini golf, had a great time in the gym and enjoyed some nature walks. Next year we

would love to get on the zip line and do some of the challenge course activities. Oh, and we ate way too much!

EARTH DAY

Earth Day is on April 22nd. It is a day that reminds us to help keep the Earth clean and pure. All creation is the Lord’s and we have a divine responsibility to take care of it on his behalf by recycling, reducing and reusing as much as possible. On the table under the “Sharing” bulletin board is free literature that lists places to take items to be recycled that are not permitted in the recycling bins. There is also other pertinent information here. Please note: York County Solid Waste Authority will begin a new electronics waste recycling program in April. See your local news service or the YCSWA website for more details on the official opening date for their new program. The Earth Day literature will be available during the month of April.
