From the East:Brothers, as usual April and May will be the busiest months as weapproach the Grand Communication at the end of May. We willbe hosting the two most informative events that lead up to the

Grand Communications.The first event is the Zone 3 Legislative meeting on the 13

th

where the proposed legislation will be discussed. If you want toknow what has been proposed and why the JurisprudenceCommittee approves or disapproves of individual proposals,please join us for this discussion.

The second is the 11th

and 12th

Masonic District Associationmeeting on the 27

th. For most of the years that our lodge has

hosted this event, it has been a great opportunity to meet thecandidates for Junior Grand Warden. While this years candidateruns unopposed, we still hope that he will be available to attend.

With a score of 935 in the District Ritual Competition, the DistrictCompetition Team will move onto the Zone 3 competition at our

lodge on April 16th. The score from this competition will bematched with the rest in the region to determine who will go on tocompete at the state level in May. There will be very few practiceopportunities before the Zone Competition, so please make theones you can.

Dont forget to purchase tickets to the Dinner and Dance,benefiting the Masonic Medical Research Laboratory, our GrandLodges flagship charity. We all know how prevalent heartproblems plague our fraternity and society. Your donations toMMRL bring us closer to new cures and preventions.

It is also not too late to purchase tickets for the Roast of MostWorshipful Elmer Coffman. As well known, and being thejokester that he is, people will be coming from all over to get theirjabs in. It should turn out to be a hilarious evening.

If you cant attend either event for scheduling reasons, considerpurchasing tickets for someone else that may not attend forfinancial reasons.

We will have a Master Mason Degree on the 25th. Worshipful Jef

Foster will sit in the east for the first half and Brother CoreyKosciuszko will sit in the east for the second half. Please contactthem to assist with this degree.

I will be contacting brothers for investigations. We have quite afew to do and I would like to try and get them into an EnteredApprentice Degree in June. If you want to volunteer, up front,contact Worshipful Charlie or myself. If you have brothers whomyou like to partner up with to do these, let us know this.The Secretarys job for next year still has no candidates. If you think you might like

the job please contact me.

Dues payments! Need I say more! I got two last weekbut there are still many to go.

As the Worshipful Master wrote we have a largenumber of new petitions to process. This is a duty that

all members of the Lodge must do so please let meknow when you are available and Ill get the form toyou.

We still have over 200 members receiving theirTrestleboard by snail mail. This costs the Lodge over$100 per month where email is FREE if you have aninternet connection. I know many of you receiving yourTrestleboard by snail mail do have email addresses soplease get your current email to me atchasam66@comcast.net.

I just know that one of our members would like to beSecretary next year. Please come and talk to me.
