Club Member Rob Brunetti who owns and operates Action Imports wasour guest speaker at the March meeting. He spoke about and showed apower point display of the main products he sells. These include a largerange of sound and security systems, in car DVD units, reversing sensorswith TV cameras, electric rust prevention systems, etc. The display onthe electric rust prevention system was interesting, it showed a NSWbased commercial beach fisherman using his Toyota Landcruiser utefitted with the system. The Ute spent its life driving in and out of the saltwater and carrying salt water filled tanks. He was very pleased with theresults. Rob uses his well-set up Turbo Brumby as his display vehicle, ithas just about every electronic gadget ever made fitted to it. He can becontacted on Ph. 38691999 mob.0408984000 and gives Club discounts.

Rik Close SC328

Hi to you all in mighty Subaland, I hope all is well in yourworld.

Well I hope that you all had a good Easter and that theEaster Bunny left lots of Easter Eggs for every one, and Ihope that all the BIG boys had enough chocolate to lastthem a while.

I hope that what ever you did over the Easter break wasfun, and you all had a good time. I know of two BIG boysthat did not have as good a time as they had hoped. BothShane and Bryan did not like the way their cars looked, andso had some thing change the look of their car for them, both cars are still driveable but don’t look the same as theydid.

Well I don’t have a lot more to say. The 25th Club BirthdayParty is not to far away and we will listen to any ideas thatyou might have, so if you do have an idea, tell some one onthe committee about it.

Well that’s all from me this time.Until next time, may the six star Force be with you.

BE COOL AND GO HARD!!

LANDCRUISER PARK 11.01.2003

Libby, our mate Carl and I met the following people at Kilcoy at about 9am: Dave, Dale

and Gail, Rik, Jason and Greg, and Dwayne. Then we had a few stragglers: Shan and

Doug and Shan’s 2 little brothers, who came over an hour late! Once we had all

grouped together we left for Landcruiser Park! We rolled up to the office to see a

Forester at the front gate, and it turned out to be a lady called Joan who has since

joined the club. Then we headed down to a campsite and set up our tents and campers.

On the way we got to drive through some creek crossings to get the 4wd part of the

weekend going.

We set out for the club track which proved quiet interesting for a few vehicles. There

were a fair few hard sections with chicken tracks, Dave went first up the main track and

made it all the way. Jason and Greg had a go at the track Dave went up, but after a few

good attempts had to backtrack a bit to the chicken tracks. Jason used his electrical

winch which came in very handy. Once we had all gotten over, we all went down to the

pig pen, where everyone started to have a bit of fun. Dale started the ‘show’ by driving

his Pajero through all the mud holes- forwards and backwards a few times. Then Doug

got talked into going through them all, as Shan’s brothers said they would clean the

wagon if he did it. Dale got stuck on a hill, we he actually bellied out on a hump thing,

and Shane had to snatch him off with the mighty brumby. Once he got off the hump, it

became a tow off- the Pajero won (surprise, surprise) as the Brumby was left smoking

all four wheels up. Back to camp, and then we set off for a look at a waterhole. Dale

and Dave went for a swim, despite the fact that the water looked black and you could

not even see the bottom. But they assured us that

To a 2-L jacketed round reactor vessel (reactor #1) with an overall heattransfer coefficient of about 100 Btu/F-ft²-hr, add ingredients one, two andthree with constant agitation. In a second 2-L reactor vessel with a radialflow impeller operating at 100 rpm, add ingredients four, five, six, and sevenuntil the mixture is homogeneous. To reactor #2, add ingredient eight, followed by three equal volumes of the homogeneous mixture in reactor#1. Additionally, add ingredient nine and ten slowly, with constant agitation.Care must be taken at this point in the reaction to control any temperaturerise that may be the result of an exothermic reaction.

Using a screw extrude attached to a #4 nodulizer, place the mixture piece-meal on a 316SS sheet (300 x 600 mm). Heat in a 460K oven for a periodof time that is in agreement with Frank & Johnston’s first order rateexpression (see JACOS, 21, 55), or until golden brown.

Once the reaction is complete, place the sheet on a 25C heat-transfertable, allowing the product to come to equilibrium.

it was really nice and refreshing. Then we all loaded back up into the cars to attack

more tracks before the days end. Dwayne departed for the day, as he was not

staying overnight. Even though we lost Dwayne, we picked up two Landcruisers:

One guy used to own a Subaru and joined us because he admired our skills and

craziness, I mean courage. We traveled around heaps more tracks having a fair go

at anything and everything we could. It was getting dark so we decided to head

True Blue - Beliefs that make Aussies unique by Richard Glover

1 Beer should be served so cold it makes your ears hurt.2 That it’s not a genuine Australian saying unless it involves a

paddock, a lizard or a rat.3 That a hamburger must contain beetroot.4 That our national character is such that we cry during the

first verse of our national anthem, but can’t remember thewords of the rest.

5 That every surname, brand name and car spare part must beshortened to the point of incomprehension, as in: “If I hadn’tstuffed the diff I’d have taken Blacky to Maccas.”

6 That there’s no event that can’t be improved by the additionof a sausage sizzle.

7 That we invented everything in the world worth inventing, but then sold the patents to the Yanks.

8 That spreading toast with a black, salty spread, with theappearance of axle grease, is widely viewed as a good wayto start the day.

9 That, on the beach, the thieves are going to be fooled if youhide your car keys and wallet inside your sandshoes.

10 That we become more Australian the further away we travelfrom home.

Just for some thing to do overthe Easter break Peter in his well set up L91 wagon is doing a long distancerecce of the trip to check out some out the tracks.

5 star rating for safety – The current model Liberty and Outback have scoredtop marks in the latest ANCAP [Australian New Car Assessment Program]crash tests for occupant safety. They are the first cars to score a 5 starrating without relying on side or curtain airbags. When the Liberty andOutback models were tested fitted with side and curtainairbags they scored the highest ever rating under the ANCAPsystem.
