• all collections together ~ 250’000 posters
Today we have:
• 15’000 images loaded, for those we use ~15GB of discspace
• ~ 11’000 posters are catalogued
• Agreed on cataloguing rules for poster description

Selection process : 3 companies provided test files and proposals 2 : direct digitisation 1 : microfilm + scanning
Goal Good quality image, but not exact reproduction

compressed (MrSid) and copying from the catalogue gives mediocre results
Each image is watermarked - to give some protection and to dissuade casual copying
