He is Risen Indeed!!
The Feast of Divine Mercy will be celebrated Sunday, April 8th –the
First Sunday after Easter.
How should you prepare for this feast day?
*Familiarize yourself with the Divine Mercy Novena and Chaplet partic-
ularly the last page which gives directions for praying the Chaplet.
• A copy of the novena/chaplet is attached to the Palm Sunday bul-
letin.
• Beginning on Good Friday, March 30th and continuing for the next
nine days, recite the Chaplet of Divine Mercy along with the inten-
tion of the day.
• If necessary receive the Sacrament of Penance:
• Perform works of mercy. Read Matthew 6:14,18:15,25:34-41
• Ask the Lord for His mercy, show mercy to others.
At the Easter Vigil on Saturday night Sherry Sheggrud, will
celebrate the Sacraments of Initiation and become the first
RCIA Candidate to become a full member of our linked/
combined parish communities. Sherry will receive the Sac-
rament of Eucharist, where for the very first time she will
come to the Table of the Lord to receive His Body and Blood
at the most important and holiest of all liturgies in the
Church’s liturgical year. She will join all of us who profess
our faith in the teachings of the Catholic Church through the
Sacrament of Confirmation.
This journey of our RCIA Candidates is never done alone. The
parish community is an integral part of their process into
the faith. We invite them into our ministries, we get to know
them, and most importantly we pray for them as we walk
their journey alongside of them.
