Finally Spring has arrived! The

weather over the Winter has seemed

particularly dull, rainy and cold so it’s

nice to see better temperatures and

the sun in the sky.

Despite the weather, I am pleased to

say that lots of you are suggesting to

friends that they come and try Thai

Fusion and this means that we now

have over 300 Privilege Card Holders!

Thank you!

It means a lot to us that we can build

our business on recommendation and

word of mouth.

Thai Silk

On our last trip together to Thailand,

Pla and I took a day out to visit the

Kohrat region, which is famous for

making silk. It was fascinating to see

all those small workshops with just a

few, highly skilled, women weaving

an astounding array of individual silk

strands into stunning modern and

traditional designs.

Many of these workshops are owned

by the villagers themselves or part of

cooperatives which bring their output

to local manufacturers to produce a

dazzling array of clothes, table and

bedcovers along with silk adorned

handbags and boxes.

Sadly, these small workshops are

under threat from (who else?) the

silk factories in China who have no

shame in labelling their machine

created produce ‘Thai Silk’. So,

beware, the real thing is not so

expensive – but if it’s very cheap –it’s probably Made in China!
