All hardware in this catalog is pre-approved for purchases for academic use by WFISD

campuses. Computer hardware and peripherals not listed in this catalog require prior

approval by the WFISD Technology Department before a purchase can be made to

ensure that it is compatible with district systems and meets the required hardware/

software standards. Approval can be obtained by submitting a ticket request through the

Help Desk system.

Tickets submitted for purchasing items on this list must be entered by someone with

budget signing authority (usually your campus principal or secretary).

To order the complete package for either the ceiling mounted projector and kit or just the ceiling mount kit by itself (for use with a previously purchased projector), please follow this procedure:

1. Login to http://helpdesk.wfisd.net to create a ticket for the purchase of a ceiling mounted projector. Like new data drop requests, the ticket can only be entered in by the campus principal, secretary, or someone with budget signing authority.

2. Put a requisition online for either the projector/ceiling mount kit or just the ceiling mount

kit separately to Vendor 4136 - WFISD Technology Department. Be sure to reference the Helpdesk ticket number on the requisition. Work will proceed once Purchasing converts the requisition into a PO.

3. A Technician will then be assigned to assess the mounting location for the equipment.

Technology will take care of all equipment ordering and request that Maintenance install the mounting bracket and power outlets.

NEW DATA DROP PROCEDURE (computer/printer/phone)

1. Campus Principal or Secretary enters in a Helpdesk ticket requesting

new data drops. This ticket should include the room number, quantity, and the approximate area where they are to be placed in the room.

2. A technician will confirm the amount of drops to be ordered.

3. The Secretary will enter in a requisition with the vendor as WFISD Tech Support. This requisition will include the room number, the ticket number, and the quantity of drops @ $70 each. You must have funds available under budget code 6298 so they can be encumbered when the PO is created.
