Phoenix First Assembly
• 13613 North Cave Creek Road
• From Moon Valley head north on 35th
to
Thunderbird
• Turn right (east) on Thunderbird to Cave
Creek Road (Thunderbird turn into Cactus after you pass the
mountains).
• Turn left on Cave Creek and go
approximately ¾ mile and you will see the
facility on your right.
Remember:
• Graduation is a school activity.
• Graduation is a ceremony, not a
celebration.
• Participation is optional.
• Let the Records Office know if you
will not participate.
• Every graduate deserves the
opportunity to be recognized; guests
should save loud celebration for
later.
Graduates
• Arrive no later than 6:00 pm.
• Dress appropriately.
• Do not bring anything with you
except your cap and gown.
Graduates
• Last names A-Ma, program
speakers, and top 1% will enter
through the North Doors
• Last names Mc-Z, band, and
vocal ensemble students will
enter through the South doors
Guests:
• Guests will enter through the North or
South entrance.
• Must have ticket to enter.
• Must be dressed appropriately.
• Doors will open for guests at 6:20 pm.
• Advanced handicapped seating must be
prearranged through the Records Office
by Wednesday, May 18th.
Graduation Caps
• Mortarboards are not to be
decorated.
• Tassel moves from right to left.
• NHS members will wear the
gold tassel.
• Help will be provided in putting
on your cap correctly.
Graduation Gowns
• Gowns must be pressed prior to
the ceremony. Use a cool iron.
• If there is a financial hardship,
speak to Mr. Lopez immediately.
We want everyone to be able to
participate in the ceremony.

Call Elite Southwest to order
cap/gown if you have not done
so already.
Where do I go?
• Last names A-Ma, program
speakers, and top 1% will enter
through the North Doors
• Last names Mc-Z, band, and
vocal ensemble students will
enter through the South doors
• Your guests should plan to sit
on the side where you march in.
Graduation Practice
• In Auditorium on May 25th –
mandatory! (Late or absent will not be
allowed to participate in the ceremony)
• 8:00 am – A-Ma, top 1%, speakers
• 9:30 am – Mc-Z, band, choir
• After practice – receive attendance
card in order to pick up cap/gown
and tickets in the practice gym.
• You must then exit campus.
Online and
Correspondence
• Anyone taking an online or
correspondence course needs to have
official transcripts sent to the Records
Office.
• The Online and correspondence
transcript deadlines is Friday, May 18th
.
8th
Semester Transcript
• Most colleges/trade schools require
these.
• They are not automatically sent.
• Forms available on your way out.
• Submit completed form to Records by
Friday, May 25th – not to counselor.
• Will be sent June 4, after all grades
are posted and class rank is re-run.
Senior Survey
• This form is your proof of
attendance today.
• Please fill it out completely and
give it to any staff member
before the senior slideshow
begins.
• Inappropriate comments may
result in suspension or not
walking!
Behavioral Expectations
• Dress
– Men: shirt and tie, dress slacks,
dress shoes.
– Ladies: dress or pants outfit, low-
heeled shoes.
• Do not carry anything into the
facility except cap and gown.
• No cell phones, balloons, flowers,
keys, purses, etc.
Expectations – cont.
• Prohibited: whistling, yelling,
beach balls, alcohol, drugs, etc.
• Come empty-handed (no phones)
• No displays on stage
• Violations will result in removal
from the ceremony
Photos
• Professional photos taken at
bottom of steps and on stage.
• Three photos will be taken.
• Professional videos also for sale
• Steps to exit stage very steep.
• Photo Information Card – fill out
at this time for ordering
purposes.
Notes
• Outstanding Debts – you will be unable to
pick up cap/gown and tickets if you have
outstanding debts.
• Up to eight tickets for each graduate.
• Must fill out guest sheet and turn in by
Friday, May 4th
.
• For possible additional tickets - names
must be listed on the back.
