How to start using ApproachStats - First StepsEnter the golf players dataEnter the golf courses parametersLoad the digital scorecards from your Garmin device or enter the golf round results manually. Assign the Player, Golf Course & Tee to the scorecard.

Golf PlayersApproachGolf needs to know basic information about players. Fill in at least the name and handicap info in order to be able to calculate Stableford points for played rounds.

Golf CoursesApproachGolf needs to know course parameters to be able to calculate Stableford scores and your handicap progress. These parameters can be found on official scorecards, golf clubs' websites or national golfassociations' websites.

ScorecardsScorecard provides you with complete information about all rounds you have played. You can filter the view according to multiple criteria (player, course, year, round, HCP, hole number) or their combination.

Scorecard entry:You can load the data from your Garmin device (supported golf watch or GPS) or enter the results manually.

To enter the data manually:

1. Push + button and fill in the hole scores.2. Select Player, select Course, select Tee.

To load digital scorecard from Garmin:

1. Push "watch" button, push Load from Garmin device. If asked for, locate your Garmin - you should find it in the Open dialog listed among Devices in the left sidebar (see picture below). Note: it takes a fewseconds after connecting Garmin device to the computer to be recognized. ApproachGolf will remember your choice and next time will load the digital scorecards without asking for Garmin location.

2. Select Player, select Course, select Tee.

Aggregated stats provide you with objective information that helps you understand your performance. Keep track of all your results, compare your official handicap and actual HCP estimate for each played roundand review the results achieved on various golf courses.

StatisticsFor selected player and year provides an overview about:

1. Hole scores (number of Albatrosses, Eagles, Birdies, Pars, Bogies, Double Bogeys, Triple Bogeys and Other scores played)2. Average Stableford netto points on Par 3, Par 4 and Par 5 holes3. Average Stableford brutto points on Par 3, Par 4 and Par 5 holes4. Most played courses (Top Five)

CoursesFor selected player and year provides an overview about minimum, maximum and average score achieved on each course you have played. You can drag the chart left & right to see more (if appropriate).

RoundsFor selected player and year provides an overview of all the rounds you have played, showing official HCP and estimated HCP (based on the game results). You can drag the chart left & right to see more (if appropriate).

HandicapFor selected player and year provides an overview of the "official" player's handicap. You can drag the chart left & right to see more (if appropriate).
