Unclip the (3) a/c control cablesbehind glove box. (Figure A)
Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent an accidentalshort circuit.

Squeeze sides of glove box then pullout and let hang to access cablesbehind it.

Remove (2) 8 MM bolts securing center panel then unclip, unplug and remove entire assembly including climate controls. (Figure C)NOTE: These bolts are accessed from underneath the climate controls. Figure C shows assembly alreadyremoved to show bolt location.

Remove (1) Phillips screw from thepanel on the bottom of the a/c controls then unclip and removethe panel. (Figure B)

Continue to kit assembly.

Unclip and remove the A/C & RearDefroster switches and the PassengerAir Bag Off Light and set them asidefor use during kit assembly. (Figure D)
Remove (8) Phillips screws securingthe climate control to the back of thefactory center panel. Remove climatecontrols and set aside for use duringkit assembly. (Figure E)

Remove the (7) metal retaining clipsfrom the factory center panel and setthem aside for use during kit assem-bly. (Figure F)

Continue to kit assembly.

ATTACHRETAINING CLIPS

Attach the (7) retaining clips to theradio housing in the same location asremoved from the factory centerpanel. (Figure C)
Secure the climate controls into theradio housing using the factory hard-ware. (Figure A)

Snap the A/C & Rear Defroster switch-es and the Passenger Air Bag OffLight into the radio housing. (Figure B)

Continue to kit assembly.

DIN MOUNT RADIO PROVISION WITH POCKET
Slide the DIN cage into the radio hous-ing and secure by bending the metallocking tabs outward. (Figure A)

Slide the aftermarket radio into the DINcage and until it snaps into place.(Figure B)

Snap the pocket into the radio housing.(Figure C)

Continue to final assembly.

ISO MOUNT RADIO PROVISION WITH POCKET
Mount the ISO Brackets to the radiousing the screws supplied with theradio. (Figure A)

Slide the radio into the radio housinguntil it snaps into place. (Figure B)

Snap the trim plate onto the front ofthe Radio Housing. (Figure B)

Snap the Pocket into the radio housing. (Figure C)

Continue to final assembly.

DOUBLE DIN RADIO PROVISION
Cut and remove the center bar fromthe radio housing. (Figure A)

Snap the Double DIN brackets to theinside edge of the radio housing.(Figure B)

Slide the Double DIN radio into theDDIN bracket/radio housing assemblyand secure the radio to the assemblyusing the screws supplied with theradio. (Figure C)

Snap the Double DIN trim plate ontothe front of the radio/housing assem-bly. (Figure C)
4
Continue to final assembly.

STACKED ISO MOUNT UNITS PROVISION
Cut and remove the center bar fromthe radio housing. (Figure A)

Snap the Double DIN brackets to theinside edge of the radio housing.(Figure B)

Slide the stacked ISO mount units intothe bracket/housing assembly andsecure the units to the assembly usingthe screws supplied with the units.(Figure C)

Continue to final assembly.

Snap the Double DIN trim-plate ontothe front of the radio/housing assem-bly. (Figure C)

Locate the factory wiring harness in the dash. Metra recommends using the proper mating adapter and making connections as shown. (Isolate and individ-ually tape off the ends of any unused wires to prevent electrical short circuit.)
Re-connect the negative battery terminal and test the unit for proper operation.
Reassemble radio and dash assemblies in reverse order of disassembly.

FINAL WIRING CONNECTIONS
Make wiring connections using the EIA color code chart shown below and the instructions included with thehead unit. Metra recommends making connections as shown below; Strip, Splice, Solder, Tape. Isolate and
individually tape off ends of any unused wires to prevent electrical short circuit.
